True, never really hinted at what happened to Tal Rasha as well, Did Baal destroy him or is he corrupt or what happened.
Baal corrupted Tal Rasha's body when Tal Rasha implated a large shard of Baal's soulstone. So I assume that Tal Rasha was destroyed just as the body of the wanderer was when Diablo was released from his stone.
The first time we saw this video, it was by the creator who infact said this was a fake. The real question that everyone wanted to know is what the game really was, because everyone thought it looked sweet.
In the Diablo series, we learn that the three Prime Evils were kicked out of hell by the Lesser Evils. Now, most of you are probably thinking that Diablo and friends were roaming the mortal world with actual bodies. However, this is not the case. When they were kicked out, they lingered on the mortal plane as spirits, more or less due to the fact that the Worldstone doesn't allow them to enter the mortal world. The worldstone dictates that as long as it stands, the forces of Heaven and Hell cannot envelop the Earth.
The Prime Evils lingered as spirts, and influenced mortals. It wasn't until the Horadrim sealed them away in the Soulstones that they were truly trapped and gone. However, they were still able to possess people. Mostly, the ones with a weaker will. Lazarus was the first, and by his corruption Diablos Soulstone was shattered (But not destroyed), and Diablo was free. However, Diablos essence was still tied to that Soulstone. He could not physically manifest himself on the mortal realm if it did not exist.
When the Hero in the first game killed Diablo, his spirit could not return to hell because of the Soulstone. As per the novels, a demon cannot truly be killed, only sent back to where he came from. Diablo was trapped on Earth, and had to exert himself over the Hero as well to return to power.
At the end of Diablo 2, when we shatter kill him, and shatter his soulstone, we remove the thing which ties him to us. Without the Soulstone, he can only exist in Hell.
HOWEVER. The Worldstone. The worldstone served as a barricade for the agents of Heaven and Hell. As long as it exists, no one of the two sides can intervene on Earth (Unless by other powerful magics, of course.). Tyrael destroys the Worldstone because it is the only way. The corrupted worldstone that Baal had created would have simply allowed the demons of hell to spill forth on the Mortal plane. The difference being that the Heavens would not be able to help the Mortals. With the Worldstone shattered, Tyrael is basically setting in motion the second Sin War. Which is probably what the third game will follow...
ALSO: Without the Worldstone, Diablo and the other Prime Evils can go between Earth and Hell at will. They are no longer dependant on the soulstone: For Diablo, this means that his character will be missing and iconic detail. I'm thinking it's entirely possible he's changed his look to accomodate.
... Okay, wow. That was longer than I thought it would be. Er... So... Yeah. My knowledge of the games lore isn't entirely correct, so I'm sure a few things I mentioned are off... But, that's my theory as it stands.
TL;DR version: Diablo doesn't need his Soulstone anymore because the worldstone was destoyed, and that lets him and the other prime evils enter the Mortal world at will. The agents of heaven can do so as well. Diablo 3 will probably focus on a second Sin War.

This would also be interesting to see how this ties in to the Civil war in hell. Would the prime evils take over once again? Or will hell turn against them yet again? Currently Hell is being controlled by Belial and Azmodan in a civil war against each side. There's a lot Blizzard could do to make an interesting D3 which takes place after 2.
what about it? (sorry if i dont know my left/right i forget from time to time) far left is from wc3 ROC, other side is from, starcraft? im not too sure havent seen all the cinemetics of it

Another interesting thing : Maybe Diablo will not like to see the lesser evils take over the earth and will most likely try to stop them, so a kind of team-deathmatch with three teams.

I understand that but, Marius i guess thats his name, removed Baal's soulstone from Tal Rasha at the end of Act 2, I'm guessing Baal already consumed Tal Rasha's body, but it was never made clear, if he did or didn't.
