It's fake because it rehashes an old diablo image, and blizzard doesn't rehash images.
Ahh, thank you very much.
Oh, and Tyrael34, I liked your post. If this is really the imminent announcement of Diablo III, it makes even more sense why Hellgate:London got pushed out the door in the half working sorry excuse for a beta version that it was. They simply knew that Diablo III was going to be announced soon, and desperately wanted to get it out there before the buzz hit.
Tech: Blizzard technical support this is dashawn *or some other name idk?*
Jack : *gives info*
Jack: Im having problems i received one of the original diablo 3 beta keys in the mail and im having problems installing the game

Tech: you might be able to find info about the beta other then that we dont have any information regarding that
From the tech call.
I dont care about how often it was posted, this shows that D3 is already under way to say the least, and that its in beta?
The tech guy pauses and has to think a few times, he is not ignorant and is aware.
Blizzard announcing a new WoW game is like Microsoft announcing they make a good console. Its just not going to happen my friends. They stated SECRET ANNOUNCEMENT OF A NEW GAME, not crap we already know about. If so, thats no too secretive.
It looks almost like the back of a spaceship which is using its boosters (i.e. the eyes). The snow looks like stars in space. Pax Imperia anyone? I pray to God - NO.

Now that is starting to make some sense, btw that game so totally
fucking sucked:mad:
Many people should read my sig. Oh and I gave up on COTE, if you want to continue looking for COTE that'd be nice.
1. There are NO fucking d3, d4, d5 general or whatever forums! its simply a stupid bug, you could type in everything!!
Except you can't. d3-d6 (and war4, oddly enough) were the ones that worked and were titled. Furthermore, the Diablo III General Discussion board was IN the pulldown menu.
Let me preface this by saying if Diablo 3 were to be announced, it would instantly become my number 1 most wanted game...period. I hope to God that they do announce it, the same as everyone here.
That said, none of the clues imo given seem to point toward D3, save for the hel rune.
Yes the splash image is not the same picture as the lich king...but you know it could be another picture of him. Blizzard have been known to redraw main characters (e.g. Illidan) making them look different for WoW than they have in WC3. That is, at least, what I feel the main picture is of. Looking at it from a marketing sense that to me is what they are trying to advertise. WotLK is due out soon and they want to use this event to promote it, and the first thing any uniformed wow person is going to see when they check out news from this event is that splash image. They aren't going to see it and think "hey, maybe that guy in the picture there is from ANOTHER game!"
Granted, it could be argued that blizzard knows this and is just using the lich king as a front (for the uninformed) while provided clues to another game at the same time. And I do believe they are. The announcement that they are going to reveal a new game is evidence enough to warrant that being true. So the question on all of our minds is what is the new game?
So far, the clues pointed out in this thread are imo little evidence of Diablo 3. In fact, they could be taken as indicators to other games like The Lost Vikings. Sadly, no real reason to believe Diablo 3 is going to be announced exists yet...or is there?
Now, this is just speculation, but looking at the bigger picture another game is set to be released in the near future that could threaten blizzard's market-share IF successful. This game is one actually made by former Blizzard employees, and looks remarkably similar to Diablo. The game is Mythos, and it seems to be gaining a lot of praise from those who have played it. A real threat indeed, should everyone go to this game to get their Diablo fix on.
Timing is key, especially in the gaming industry, and the announcement of Diablo III couldn't be timed more perfectly. Mythos is gearing up to open it's beta to the masses right around now, and a major announcement like Diablo III would be like dropping a bomb on their project. It would steal a large portion of their prospective audience's interest. This tactic has already proven successful in the past, when Sony used the announcement of the PS2 to stamp out the Dreamcast. To me, announcing Diablo III here and now makes perfect sense, if only for this reason alone.
Like I said, this is just speculation on my behalf. Though I have been following the industry for years and I tend to be able to predict things with a fair amount of accuracy. So take that for what you will. I'll leave you with just one final thought, Dictionary's word of the day happens to be: harbinger.
This is one of the best posts I have read in the last 5 days. I agree with you 100%

i didnt read through this whole thing. so sorry if anybody else said this but.. LOOK AT THE RUNES NOT THE EYES, the runes are lighted up now.. you know like in diablo 2 when you hit the mark it lights up... a good sign of diablo 3 i think
Well, I've been using Whiplashr as a handle for as long as I've been on the internet, going back to the very early 90's (pre Win95 even). I think the first time I used it was in Kali, which was (at first) a Dos APP that allowed gamers to play "network/IPX" type games over the internet, as if they were on the same network.
I have been an active member of battle.net for every game. I spent untold hours in Diablo, Warcarft II, Starcraft, Warcraft III and Diablo II & LOD. Always using the same name.
Now that is starting to make some sense, btw that game so totally
fucking sucked:mad:
A lot of people tryed to say Hellgate was D3, due to it saying from the creator of Diablo on the case. Wow did anyone else relize how stupid alot of people are these days?

I agree. I'll admit, i was F'ing excited for hellgate, and i can't even begin to describe how big of a damn disappointment it was. I just thank god i didn't pay that retarded "120.00 for lifetime subscription" fee that they had. My biggest complaint is how repetitive the environments were. it's like they made 3 dungeon tilesets and decided those three would just be randomized through 5 acts and they'd call it a finished game.

I consider myself an avid gamer (though, I will admit, not a huge follower of PC games beyond stuff like Fallout 3, Spore, etc.), and I've never even HEARD of Mythos. I doubt Bilzzard is all that threatened by them. They know hordes on fans will flock to whatever game they make.
A lot of people tryed to say Hellgate was D3, due to it saying from the creator of Diablo on the case. Wow did anyone else relize how stupid alot of people are these days?
A lot of people quickly changed their tune once they actually saw a detailed playthrough of Hellgate though.

He is probably so fired.
It's good you gave up on the COTE. Now how about you give up on wanna be forum moderator?
Seriously, why the hell would you be sitting here reading all of this if it bothers you so much? Why not just walk away until the announcement?
There is no logical reason, other than you are a control freak and want to piss on this parade and shut it down.
And why is that?
