Based on Christopher Nolan's past (The director, who besides working on Batman Begins, also did The Prestige) I can see this movie achieving over any other comic movie to date. I am thoroughly excited, and obviously am going to the midnight release. Anyone else as interested as me?
Don't let this become a Ironman vs. Batman thread, they are geared different, and achieve separate tones. Both great, both different.
....the movie looks sick, just plain sick. I love the fact it's in chicago, the acting seems preety damn amazing, it seems to stick to story, Also the action looks preety awesome. This will easily be a summer blockbuster.
Yeah, I've had dreams about this movie. I think like 95 percent of comic book hero movies are sheer garbage. But I loved Batman Begins and I've been highly anticipating this next movie. I especially am looking forward to Ledger's performance. I hope also that the Scarecrow is going to be in it.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but theres word that Ledger was quite disturbed by his role as the Joker. He rented a hotel room for months, staying there to speak to himself as the Joker, write a diary in the Joker's personality, and he had to see a shrink due to the role.
everyone said he was the type of actor that really got into his role, and by what we've seen so far he played the part really well. Many think it contributed to his death because he couldnt sleep. very sad.

Jack Nicholson actually warned Ledger about playing Joker. Saying it was likely he would find it difficult to sleep and he'd get really irritable.
Yeah, the actually became friends over discussing the Joker. And yet Ledger's Joker seems way more intense than Nicholson's. Of course Nicholson had to be directed by lame Tim Burton.
And Nicholson is an amazing lunatic, e.g. The Shining.
The Scarecrow makes an appearance, as does Two-Face.
Scarecrow.... Scarecrow....

What is normal? Normal is a concept that everyone or a majority of people are the same or similar. However, we know that everyone is unique. If everyone is unique, then everyone is different. If everyone is different, then everyone is weird. If everyone is weird, then everyone is normal.
I'm not usually too hot about movies, the events always unfold too fast and don't let you the time to set in. Furthermore, the story and the characters are more than often too stereotypical and boring.
But Batman Begins was one of these rare movies that went over all this and got me right in the heart, enough for me to watch it twice.
Hmmm, the Joker looks a lot more dirty and serious than before, I think that I prefer him that way.
Hey, wasn't the Joker and Two Face the ones who murdered Bruce's parents in the original Batman. Wonder if they just drop the thing or if they'll turn out to be connected somehow to their deaths again.

Bruce's parents were murdered by some schmuck on the side streets, the joker in the original came about after a horrible chemical accident changed his hair and skin to that of a clown's, or joker's. Two-Face originated when the Joker threw acid on his face in a court room.
$180+ million opening weekend - calling it now. You've got the coolest super hero franchise, sequel to a huge hit, great cast and crew, and Heath Ledger's last performance. Thank god Spiderman 3 will finally be topped; that movie was horrible.

I hadn't heard about that conversation with Nicholson. That's very interesting.
