Yeah, that's what I thought so I got the original image, and then it was still the same. So, I am now convinced it is a Shael. I'm wrong about things a lot, though, so believe what you will
In my opinion, skepticism is always the best approach to anything until it proves itself, which, in my case, has happened. Can't wait until 3 A.M. (EST) to see the next one!
And if they make Diablo more WoW like, then they better at least keep it Hack n Slash, with tons of monsters, and quick action, unlike WoW, which has targeting one person at a time and taking forever to kill them. I like Diablo where you can run in and lay waste to dozens of monsters in a matter of minutes.
As long as they keep that, and how awesome the items were in Diablo, then it is good, oh and the kick ass story of course.
Blizzard has again and again portrayed that they are working on the "Next-Gen MMO" (that is not related to Warcrack.) Of course we know about StarCraft II, though I can't imagine them releasing two models on the same franchise at once. Even disregarding that, could “Universe of StarCraft” separate itself enough from its brother to warrant being its own MMO? I have my doubts. Of course if we set aside Starcraft for now, all eyes naturally land on Diablo.
I could easily see Blizzard turning Diablo into an MMO. Diablo II played very much like a typical MMO; we leveled, trained, looted monsters and even teamed up for quests. If you ask me, Diablo seems more suited for MMO then WarCraft ever was. I know I don't speak for myself when I say I would appreciate a game without a monthly fee. Yet, if this is how we get our next Diablo, you know ill be playing
EWWW NO!
I hate spending 6 hours to gain 5 levels. I hate all the shitty fetch quests and kill X amount of monsters.
I just wanted to point out this wicked picture because at first glance most would think that its a Diablo Universe related picture, when in fact, its Starcraft..
Just because its blue, it doesnt mean its not Diablo related....

Lace me with the words of destruction and I'll explode, but supply me with the will to survive and watch the world grow.
there alot of good things with mmo's but with mmo's you lose alot of other aspects, say inWoW you loss the ability to really get far by yourself. I love daiblo's single player, and it's multiplayer is awesome, why change the formula but improve on it.
First, I have to say that I have some experience with Photoshop (been using it regularly for 5 years now...)
Ok, look at the symbol. It is much more defined than the rest of the picture. At this level of zoom in, it shouldn't be the case. After that, I've tried a lot of color/brightness/contrast shit desperately trying to bring out those extra branches and guess what? I couldn't. Anyway, if you compare this picture with the original, you'll see a huge difference.
Diablo 3 will be fucking badass. MMO or not.
Blizzard will do it right.

"When men are most sure and arrogant, they are commonly the most mistaken, and have then given views to passion, without that proper deliberation and suspense which can alone secure them from the grossest absurdities"
still i feel diablo would be more badass if it wasent a mmo, then again i keep imagining it Warcraft like, so my opinion is biased.but still just imagine what a diablo warcraft type mmo would be, now that is something to shudder at.
I agree, you can't just change out the characters and the landscape and call it Diablo. It will NEED to play differently then wow. Still, i think MMO can work.

I don't know if Blizzard can resist the allure of having another MMO with a potential to be a hit and bring in millions of dollars on a monthly bases then to just keep the game true to it's origins.
Maybe I'm cynical but I think Blizzard will butcher DIII. Being a SC fan I've been fairly disappointed with what they've put forth so far, this is while Blizzard is trying as hard as it can to remain loyal to SCII's predecessors RTS finesse. Turning Diablo into an MMO will be disastrous.

I second that.
