-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings/The Conquerers Expansion:
A game, a sequel based on thie history. This game begins in the Dark ages, after the fall of the Roman Empire. It has four ages, eighteen civilizations, and each civilization has 2 unique units (Except the Mayans, who have about 6 unique units.), and each civilization has different units available to it. Example: The Knight is not available to all classes.
Empire Earth with The Art of Conquest Expansion:
Empire Earth begins at the very begining, Prehistoric Age. It spans all of human history, going up into the current age (Called Atomic Age - Modern), the Nano age, and, in the expansion, even into the Space Age. Civilizations are identical in the unit sense, except that each one has different "stats". You also have the capability to create your own civilization should you desire, though it would not be usable in the campaign modes.
Yes I do, but that Empire Earth sounds like Civilization sort of.
It sounds similiar, but it's not. For one, it's alot funner. Also, it's a RTS, rather then a TBS. It's very similar to AoE in game play actually, except it's more complex, and has a much wider view. For example, in Empire Earth, you can play a campaign where your a stone age people, or you can play a campaign based on World War One, or you can play a campaign based on big robots fighting each other.
However, like the Civ series, I think Empire Earth is more of a niche game, while AoE2 has more of a chance of appeasing the average gamer.
Lol. Civilization is VERY different then Empire Earth.
However, if I was given a choice between Empire Earth (with its expansion of course) and Age of Empires 2 (with it's expansion as well), I would have to choose Age of Empires 2 every time.
Plus Age of Empies series teaches History, and I fucking love History.
Oh yeah, thats right, I play Dragonfable lol. Its a web-based RPG, singeplayer, pretty good for jumping on for a minute then jumping off. and you can play it anywhere, without installing.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I'll have to check out DragonFable - sounds like you two are having some fun with it.
I just got back from the store and picked up the D2/LOD battlehest and am going to attempt to install it on my vista machine, hoping all will be well with that. If not, I have my decent laptop running xp that can run it. We'll see what happens.
What server do you guys/gals typically play on? Do you play together?
They usually play on uswest. I can not remember if they said ladder or non, but they mostly all play on uswest. Anyway. Do you have Titan quest, or have you just played it?

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
@Stone: I just played the demo - I haven't been able to find a copy of Titan Quest to buy. I went out with the intention of getting it this morning, but wasn't able to find it! :-(
I'll keep looking because I liked the demo pretty well.
I just installed D2 and it did prompt me with a compatibility issue warning, but so far I made it to level 4 with no problems. Guess we'll see. I still have to install LOD after some lunch hehe.

No no no. AoE2 is in the past. EE is the entire history and part of the future.
I need to get AoE2 cd's... Lol...

GTA IV
Fable 2(possibly if d3 isnt out yet)
and random games
I thought you said that you could play in the future as well?
