I personally think that the abortion argument is moot. Abortion should be the choice of the female, and she shouldn't be chastised for that.

Abortion should be allowed specially for women who have been raped, or in any way forced against they're will to have the sex that conceived that child. Abortion whether you believe me or not, takes away a life whether it be a future life or one that started every since the sperm hit the egg. Once the process of life begins, who are you to stop it?
If the girl made a stupid mistake, there is always other alternatives.
my opinion changes, and i wish everyone could have the baby then just give it up, but im for abortion in the cases of rape, you cant actually afford the baby, and things like that.
hehe. is it not clear to you all belivers of the bible. abortion should be as much legal as whiping yor own butt;) What i mean is that is only religious fanatics that's follows the religions "papers" lituraly.

So... The only people who are against abortion are religious fanatics? Please make an attempt at spell check and sentence structure.
I hate the idea of abortion. Im disgusted by it. But why would you want someones life ruined because of an unwanted baby they cant handle/support/deal with because of school/ridiculed by others (this being for young women). If the person takes extra precautions to not have a baby why would you judge the mfor getting an aboriton, they tried to prevent it. If they didnt take the precautions, burn in hell bitch ;).
I'm completely against it since it has destroyed a whole generation of children and is not beneficial to the social or economic standing of the US. The forty-something million dead children could be the ones growing up and helping us all out by paying some taxes. Abortion is also partially funded by the government. If someone is going to get it done, all costs should be on the person. It's not my responsibility to pay for someone else's killing of their unwanted child. I will not have a baby's blood on my hands.

Although i dont completely agree with you. The abortion should be paid by the person completely. Its like dental! ;0
With all these contraceptives and even a morning after pill you'd think if a person didn't want a baby then it would never get to this stage
But that's common sense... and common sense isn't all that common
The morning after pill is like a day after abortion in pill form. A pre-pre-pre fetus abortion. And that should be enough to solve 99.99% of un-wanted baby problems
If people (in general) weren't so oblivious to consequences then it would never even get to the abortion stage
Rape victims should have abortions though, or morning after pills
Yeah, I do agree with that, actually, because if you can't support a child they would just end up in unmeasurable misery and would most likely end up going to a path in life that would have a negative impact on society, if anything.

That is an extremely simplistic way of thinking.
I'm definately pro-choice, by the way. I also have to laugh at religious zealots playing Diablo..

Please explain why it is a simplistic way of thinking. If you are using the term "religious zealots" to describe anyone on these forums who have expressed they're right to disagree with abortion, that is a stereotype and a generalization which makes you look silly. If not, why would you make that statement? It has no logical place in this topic or on these boards, nor does the wording which is obviously meant to offend belong here.
Please do not type out thoughts that have no coherent backing to them, or try to undermine those of a different opinion with such careless displays of childish behavior.
I'm not religious- your stereotype is an "extremely simplistic way of thinking".
I never said you were, nor do I care if you are. Sorry if it came off that way - I can see how you would think that I was directing it at you.

I'm talking about a select few posters in this thread who are trying to push their beliefs on others. I call them zealots. 'Religious zealots', to me, don't represent any religion. They only use religion as a means to justify their opinions. They use religion for their own personal gains. I myself am agnostic. The main reason I do not associate myself with any type of organised religion is because of these people.
They are usually oblivious to the obvious, and ignorant to anything and anyone else but themselves.
I do not see a problem with insulting these people. If you cannot insult these people, you cannot insult anyone.
I accept that people think that abortion should not be an option. I do not agree with it.
What Magistrate said is simplistic to me because trying to justify the opinion that abortion is wrong by saying that it may effect the economy is simply odd. Trying to talk about an humanitarian decision in monetary terms is crazy.
Rape victims do not care about the countries economy when thinking about such a decision.
I do agree that abortion is misused at times and that it often can be prevented before getting to that stage - but why should people that truly need the choice to be avaliable to them have to suffer?

Against forum policy:
No flaming (including: racial/sexual/religious/medical slurs)
"Flaming" basically means "insulting". So, posting something insulting directed at another member or group of members is a no-no.
Insulting people based on their race or using racist words such as a derogatory term is not acceptable here.
Insulting people based on their sexual preferences or using words such as "gay" or “lesbo” or "fag" (etc) as derogatory terms is not acceptable here. Insulting people or using derogatory terms based on religious beliefs is not acceptable here.
Insulting people based on their medical problems, or using words such as "spaz" (etc) is not acceptable here.
Insulting people or using derogatory terms based on their experience or wealth of knowledge or lack there of, such as noob or nub.
If you see flame being posted, feel free to send a Moderator a PM with a link to the thread, do not however take it upon yourself to join that argument.

In my post, at least, that was not at question. Why should a rape victim have to suffer and bear the rapist's child? Why should she have a child if she can't support it? To both of these I would say it's good and fitting. I'm talking about the people who just have sex all over the place, don't use proper protection, and then kill the baby, which I am partially funding, whether I like it or not. Other than that< i agree with you.
I myself am agnostic.
And so am I, which I laid out in the bio thread, but I guess you don't really need to read that, since I'm telling it to you now.
I am not battling this whole thing under the pretense of religion, and neither are the majority of pro-life people fighting in here. You must forgive me, when you said that, I assumed you were pointing it at every pro-lifer here.
Seriously? Did you even read my post? I'm not insulting people because they are religious.

Yes and I agree with that too. Unfortunately you cannot have one without the other. I wasn't directing my post solely at you - sorry if I didn't make it clear - it was just a general statement of opinion.
it's a tough issue, i mean i think society should try to do more to make it easier for people not to have the abortion, and also try to encourage safe sex at the sametime so you dont get pregnant in the first place.
