UFO's are theoretically able to change the direction of gravitational pull, or force. It's like making the direction you want to go "downhill" and amplifying this force until it is powerful enough to move a certain object at a desired speed.

Dream as if you'll live forever, and live as if you'll die today. "James Dean"
Electromagnetic entities... fair enough... but why cant we detect them then?
To Winstons question a few pages back
If there are no divine beings, where does the idea of divine beings come from because divine beings are believed exist in almost every culture, nation and tribe from the beginning of human beings?
Okay, so I think we can all agree that flying spaghetti monster don't exist right? But wait... how did I just come up with that idea then? I must of met one of these flying spaghetti monsters one day who told me about them... because theres absolutely no way that a human, the most imaginative creature on Earth could come up with the idea of a flying spaghetti monster all by himself
I agree, Genesis. After all, everyone thought the earth was flat. I mean, how can it not be flat? It clearly ends just over the horizon. Why would you automatically assume that there is a whole other world out there? Its best to assume only what we see.
lol, i have no idea what I was trying to prove just then. I think I just outproved my own theory
Its best to conclude only what we can experience or experience by extension and assume what we can logically derive by previous theory. Previous theory is based on previous experience but may not apply completely to the new situation (flaw of science?)
To conclude or assume anything else (even if it turns out to be true) without any proof is just... gambling? We can only do the best with our knowledge. How the hell do you come up with a theory with no experience, observation or logically derived conclusion?
When they thought the Earth was flat they used all their deduction and induction reasoning and logic and came to that conclusion, we now know it was wrong BUT for those people to come to any other conclusion than that would of just been fucked up
Firstly, thats a youtube video, and secondly, there are heaps of things in space, it doesn't mean its an alien. And 'unidentified flying object' just means its unidentified...
Edit: they are completely ignoring it. obviously because its nothing special.
Ugh, stop bringing your Alien thread into this one. I don't care if there might be life out there, because until we actually get a hold of it and learn something from it, then its useless to just seeing possible glimpses of it.
I see dots and a line... I need more information to make a proper conclusion
But if I was forced to make a conclusion based just from that video and my limited knowledge of astrophysics and cameras I would say that it was most likely an optical illusion. Optical illusions occur all the time and are well documented whereas UFOs are not
Now, if I was an easily exited person who liked to use previous assumptions and knowledge that is unproven I suppose I could say that its UFO's

Yeah, that is true. But in the modern era we just don't know what to believe.
If angels did come to earth, and if they did it en masses, I imagine it would be very frightening. Powerful beings shrouded in mystery and unknown = fear. It doesn't matter if they are 'good', because its human nature to be afraid of what we don't understand. the world would be quite the chaotic.
i suppose that would explain why they apparently don't like to interfere with us, because they don't want to be chaotic.
Rods are a whole other debate. But no, i don't believe in them. I mean, come on, if they did exist, especially if they were a few meters in length (some claim to be 50m), then where do their corpses go? Huh? they have to die eventually if they are animals of this planet. They can't fly at full speed forever. If they existed, we would see their corpses.
we dont find them because they are the only creature that we know about that can slip in and out of third and fourth dimensions... and who is to say taht they ARE from this planet? its possible that they come from somewhere else...and i do believe that there is life outside of our planet/galaxy but those videos are from youtube... sry

Eh, what? That doesn't make any sense at all.
You're all just throwning around random ideas here you know that? A creature made of photons that cannot be detected and which slips fbetween space and time?

What if they are beings that have harnessed the power of photons. They just degenerate into static when they die.
If it can be quantitatively explained by any scientific means whatsoever, it is not supernatural, and therefore cannot be an "angel". Angels are paranormal by definition, anything more easily comprehended or defined would be physical, and not spiritual. Spiritual things can't be proven or disproven by physical evidence, or the "spirituality" of it ceases to be spiritual, and becomes scientific fact. It's something you accept on a personal level by faith. And this isn't a debate on whether or not religion is right or wrong, it's a poll on whether or not you believe in angels.
When they thought the Earth was flat they used all their deduction and induction reasoning and logic and came to that conclusion, we now know it was wrong BUT for those people to come to any other conclusion than that would of just been fucked up
And I'll have you know some religious texts, specifically the bible, have some verifiable snitches of science declared in them that would only came way after their time. For instance, the literal Christian bible (the one not edited over the centuries by Catholics or various other so-called "christian" sects), says in various verses (Job 26:10, Prov 8:27, Isaiah 40:22, Amos 9:6) that the earth is round and that it hangs in space "by nothing", something Copernicus himself declared, but not until 1475. This is interesting, because at the time all, or nearly all, other religions said that the earth was riding atop a tortoise, or some other animal, or sat on the shoulders of some mammoth god. Psalm 8:8 states oceanography, something that "the father of oceanography" would not reason through until his lifetime from 1806-1879 (his name is Mathew Maury.) I'm not saying the bible isn't without its quirks, it definitely has some, but it also has its share of "scientific truth", as it were. (And, of course, there are obviously no research notes left behind by King David or the like who proclaimed these things, unfortunately, or it would be a text book. I would take a gander that the writers would claim that they were divinely inspired to write those things.) Just some things to think about, if you want to.

Where do you draw the line between spiritual and physical then? Your brain is still subject to the natural laws of our Universe.
And let's say an angel came down to you, showed itself and had a nice little chat with you. Would it not be an angel then? If it wasn't, then angels cannot possibly exist, because there'd be no way to ever notice them. If we ever did, they wouldn't be angels anymore.

-.-' You're missing the point. They can't be subject to our laws or they aren't beyond nature- "super-natural". They'd be aliens or something.
Your brain is still subject to the natural laws of our Universe.
That really has nothing to do with the angel itself.
And let's say an angel came down to you, showed itself and had a nice little chat with you. Would it not be an angel then? If it wasn't, then angels cannot possibly exist, because there'd be no way to ever notice them. If we ever did, they wouldn't be angels anymore.
That's exactly what I'm saying. They're beyond our rules. It's obviously going to confuse us because it would be like trying to define a banana with HTML- we are something completely different than them.
If were are to assume that there are angels, then we have to assume we, too, have spirituality. That is the level, then, that a "spirit" would communicate on. But, in another sense, if you assume there are angels, then something must have created them, unless you want to buy in to some kind of spiritual evolution or something, like some new agers do. If we are to assume then, for sake of argument, that angels do exist, and that they also have a creator, we would have to assume that the same being created our spirituality, and, thus, everything that would come along with that, primarily meaning everything, at which point the creator would be called "god". And if this god were to create everything, he or she would have no chains to our rules, and thus be able to change them or go beyond them at anytime he/she so wishes. So, this god could command the angel to appear to deliver some kind of divine message, and then take whatever necessary steps he or she so chooses to keep that creature from being defined quantitatively.
Suppose the "god" was the singularity, (a single point with infinite mass that created the universe by expanding at the speed of light) infinite photon scenarios could produce a being or a consciousness capable of harnessing all these wavelengths. A being such as this would be literally immortal, even when all the mass in the universe has decayed there will still be photons bouncing about.
