For now, Xbox 360. The burning cd chip reader for ps3 won't be out for at least another year. That's my only reason.

I choose the Wii. The Wii captured the casual gamer market. Casual gamer market=GG no rm
Plus the Wii is fuckin' awsome. You play some of those games and it's so much more realistic. At a PC you hit buttons, at a ps3 you hit buttons, at an Xbox 360 you hit buttons, at the Wii you pull gun triggers, swing swords, punch enemies, etc. That's just awsome.
I hate the wii, I understand why you like it Link, but it just wasn't for me, I can't stand the controls, I think the hole system is silly, I can only play it with a gamecube controller.

Well, I find it alot more immersive then sitting on your ass hitting buttons.
Then again, that's also a reason alot of the American population doesn't like it, what with obesity being a rising concern...
look though the wii may have not one the hardcore gamer, even i wish parts of it were more hardcore. But like linkx said, it one the casual gamer market, and not to mention that everyone and there mother are playing it.

I think that, should a top-line game come to the Wii, like Half-Life or Diablo or Doom, the hardcore gamer market would begin to view the Wii differently. Now, I understand that the Wii is not as powerful as the 360, but it is most definantly capable of running a new game in one of the previously mentioned series.
well it seems that the xbox 360 is going more casual, a sad move indeed. I mean casual isnt bad but there try to combat the wii using a system meant for hardcore. Xbox sales will continue to do good, but in most markets they will slowly lag overtime. The ps3 will olny get stronger, and the wii will sale massive amounts of councles atleast until x-mas, after that who knows.
Also the bigger question is what wil the next-gen next-gen systems will be? A nintendo something a xbox 720, and a ps4?
Well, I'd like to see Nintendo vs Microsoft in the next console wars. The two big hitters going against each other without interferience from sony.
Nintendo vs Microsoft can only bring out the best games from both groups. Sony...well it's sony...
And this is from a guy who used to hate Microsoft. Yet, I've seen Gears of War and Assassins Creed, and if they can come from Microsoft, well, Nintendo needs to get there head in the hardcore game...

Well Nintendo is all out of major games IMO. LoZ:TP, SSBB, MK, MP8, are already released, a bit too early IMO again. What else is there?
Microsoft released Halo 3 and Gears of war, what else is there?
Same goddamned logic. Take the biggest games, and then forget about third party developers.
Shit, I can't wait for the new first person shooter "The Conduit". I have a feeling that game is going to kick major ass.
Well, you're argument is heavily flawed. With recent backing from Square enix, Atlus, NAMCOBANDAI, Mistwalker, the third party installment for the 360 has jumped dramatically in the RPG district. Lost Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery, Final Fantasy XIII, The Last Remnant, Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey to name a few. Halo 3 and GoW? It seems you're forgetting Mass Effect and Fable 2. Mass Effect to be a franchise and Fable to go up to at least VI. I think those are some pretty big games that'll continue to come out for the 360. And what about Gears of War 2? I'm not saying anything bad about the Wii, just show casing how saying they only had two good games without much third party support was wrong; did you even watch E3?
The only Wii game that catches my fancy at this point is MADWORLD, that game looks brutal.
Yeah, now that Square Enix isn't a Sony exclusive company, Playstation took a major hit there, not to mention their wide array of JRPG's (the Final Fantasy Series, Kingdom Hearts Series, The Last Remnant, and the like), that will most likely start becoming multiplatform.
Well, I'm a "PS Fan Boy" for better or for worse, so I don't really care, as long as I get to play both of them. It is rather ridiculous though, especially since Final Fantasy XIII was formatted thoroughly for the cells and has to be dumbed down significantly for the 360's outdated technology... But on the other hand, more people can play it now. You win some, you lose some, I guess. I'm really hoping for a good FF game for the Wii, though

by outdated..do you mean..affordable???or convenient? because last time i checked the 360 was a hella lot cooler than any silly playstation for da rich kids. "hey wada you doin tonight rich guy?" "you know, goin down to the play station 3" "oh, ill go hang out at the economic club 360"....my silly analogy O_o, but i guess all the mvp people chill in da ps3

No, I mean outdated technology. The 360 runs on the Xenon, alone, alone, while the PS3 runs on cells, which have been designated as the future of computer processing. They are slated to be released to the public for installation in the coming years. The world's fastest super computer currently is running on cells.
Please don't pull the "only rich kids buy PS3" stuff, it's not a mature or factual argument. I work at Subway and am still paying my PS3 off- I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination.
I also never said that poor people buy 360's- it's a great American-made gaming console that is probably the last of it's kind. It will work for now, but as the years go on, at least by the end of the next decade, it will be completely outdated.
