If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
Yay...lets all go out and buy pixels! We can only ever use them in a game that isnt going to last forever, and we cant use them in real life, but hey its totally worth it! NOT! Whether you buy or sell d2 items or characters, its all wrong. Pathetic is a better word.
i agree i would never do it...
but if you think about it... spending 20 hours trying to find 1 certain items is a hastle.. (me when i started d2...)
when u can buy it on ebay for a few bucks?

We gotta make a change...
It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes.
Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live
and let's change the way we treat each other.

Yes. True. But the satisfaction of finnally finding/getting that item is far greater than paying for it and receiving it hassle free. You feel like all your HARD WORK has paid off, instead of just buying the item from someone elses effort.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Who wouldnt need/want that feeling? If they didnt, then they wouldnt be looking for the items in the first place? I mean, think about it, if they didnt need satisfaction from getting an item, chances are they would have all the items they want/need.
Not really. Not all players wish to or have the time to devote to aqcuire godly items by themselves (or the skill). A cheap way out of that is to buy items, that way getting a beefed up character at no effort. After which they probably enjoy the game for a few days and then quit, but that is besides the point.

Why do you have to have the best items in the game to enjoy it? I used to have hours of fun in single player with shitty items, and i still do with high level chars and decent items on bnet. If a player isnt skilled enough or doesnt have enough time to aquire these items, why should they get them then? They wont be playing it much, and they dont know how to use them to the best of their ability. Buying items takes away the CHALLENGE of a game. The game was not created with the intention of players being able to buy items and characters with real money, so it should stay that way.
Damn...picked the wrong selection LOL. The only thing I have bought was the Trang Set. Everything else I was happy to find. Just recently found Griswolds Honor in Duriel run :). I have been playing Diablo 2 since the day the stores put it on the shelf. So for 7 years or so, only bought one item.

i agree with jarhead..The feeling u get of finding an item that uve been searching for forever is what diablo is all about
Thankyou lord silver...i feel blessed!
But seriously, who can honestly say that one of the best feelings in diablo isnt finding that wonderful item?
Thasador when you have been playing for 7 years i dont blame you...i mean, it was only once...we all like to try things sometimes. But in general, i am against the whole thing.
i think that if people want to buy items, they should be allowed to. for all you WoW players out there, let me ask you this. why exactly do you pay 15 dollars for every month? to keep your account right? why? because you have invested time and effort for pixels and other stuff that in real world wouldnt really cost anything. whats the difference in buying them outside?
once again, if people are willing to sell it, and others are willing to buy it, whats so wrong? imagine if you couldnt buy diablo items outside battle.net. imagine how much more duping and other methods would be, since people are just trying to find ways of getting better items. im not saying duping is good (because i hate it) but buying online is an alternative that turns many away from duping, and that at least counts for something.
if someone wants a challenge, you can still play the game. but if you already have made yourself a couple good characters and are wishing to make a couple other ones for fun, i dont see why not. its his/her money, they can do whatever they want with it, without having to explain themselves to others.

farmers, especially in WoW, are camping the places most "legit" players try to get stuff too. If they're bots we can abuse them from time to time and let them kill our mobs while we sit back relaxed and watch a movie (owns). But when there are like 5 bots at the same place it forces you to either buy gold to buy the items they sell (to make gold to sell) or to give it up. I'm still agressive towards bots (reported quite a few in my WoW career and will keep doing that). Leveling is part of the learning process of each class. Farming is part of the "gaming experience" an MMO has. Most MMOs are grind games anyway. And when people cant do it cause of the bots (a farming session for some motes for example takes from 20-30 minutes that is used to be about 1-2 hrs) they shouldnt be there.
as long as the "sellers" dont make it impossible for the people willing to farm then it should be alright, i guess. But with the current situation, its not possible. Farmers/Bots are on the farming grounds 24/7 and theres no room for anyone else. And unfortunately i saw quite a few bots/farmers leveling up lately (99% of them hunters *sigh*).
Take part in pole plz.
