Inferno Farming Spots
tryhardenmity has compiled a video guide to help players farm for gear in Inferno. Covering all Acts, the guide shows numerous hotspots for players to find the most amount of elites to help collect gear as quickly as possible. You can check out his original thread here.
Natalya's Set Bonus Bug
With Patch 1.03, we reported that the 4-piece set bonus for Natalya's Wrath increased discipline regeneration by 2 per second. While this remains correct, for now, it turns out that this was actually a bug and never intended to be implemented. However, Blizzard is still not sure, yet, how to resolve the issue. They have stated that they are doing their best to not meddle with items unless necessary to preserve the integrity of trade. However, this was not an intended change so it most likely will be changed back.
Yeah that was an unintentional change in 1.0.3, and we've been aware of it. We're not quite sure what we're going to do yet. We're a bit apprehensive because we really don't want to keep fiddling with people's items, even though this makes the set quite good. On the other end, it was an unintended change and so correcting it isn't quite the same as fiddling. In any case, it hasn't been discussed fully and so we don't know yet, and probably won't know exactly what we'll do until next week.
Bashiok, leave it as is and make other set bonuses just as "overpowered"
I'm not sure if buffing the rest of the game to keep from nerfing one set bonus is the right call, but it's certainly one to be considered
"Constructive" Criticism
I'm gonna be honest, I skimmed it, but I'm pretty sure I disagree with everything you said.
I won't disagree that some people need to get a better handle on things and how they express themselves, but outside of the very worst cases there's almost always something useful to be gleaned. And once you wade through the worst of it I find a lot of people who have genuine disagreements, complaints, or issues with the game. There's a reason why we have official forums, and why we use them to not only gather feedback, but bring our own voice to the conversation, and I can tell you it's not because we believe we're wasting our time with people that don't matter. While I appreciate the work people put into helpful video guides, I must say I'm frustrated with the trend toward them rather than written guides. All too often, I waste 10+ minutes of my life watching a video to glean information that could have only taken a minute or two if it were in a more efficient format.
Yeahh... How did the natalyas set get the change anyway ? That CAN'T be a bug. How would it happen to just a setpiece that's demonhunters only ?
When Demonhunters gets nerfed to shit, and a setbonus gets buffed. Coincidence ? And it becomes "too good" in their eyes, and call it a bug.
Well played Blizzard, but we're not retards. & This proves Blizzards knowledge about buffing/nerfing, they have no idea what they are doing.
It probably happened from the way they are buffing legendary items. We do not know how they coded it, how the database is stored, or how they interact together. A bug could result from their method and that is how this would happen, if it was not intended.
I complain about Blizzard a lot at times too, but all this proves is that you have no idea what you are talking about and are just upset. :/
Great Video and all, shows the best way to get the most out of your game. But not everyone uses a Wizard. Ive been noticeing in a lot of farming videos and from my friends in real life that everyone uses a wizard for farming, Im sure its easy cause of all the ranged attacks, all you have to do is kite and dont get hit, kinda cheap if you ask me. Pour out DPS as your run away, a lot like some of the elite packs in the game. Im trying to farm as my monk and this video...doesnt really help. You keep saying pretty easy and using that word "easy" a lot when sometimes, there are no monsters on your screen, your just as far away from the mobs casting spells. Id like to see this video re-made and played through with a monk, or Barbarian. This video could be summed up in a few words. "Easiest way to farm inferno is with a wizard."

No. This setbonus bugging would not make the setbonus tooltip change. It would make the setbonus just for no apparent reason add +2 discipline instead of 0.42 or whatever it was. Someone intentionally changed the tooltip text.
& they have not been buffing legendaries ? They've been nerfing overall rare items and even legendaries. My bow on my demonhunter has less dps than before the 1.03 patch.
The last I saw they were buffing them. Maybe it did not make it into this patch, but if it did not, then in 1.1 they will most likely buff them. Current items will not see buffs, but newly found ones will. Mistakes do happen, the buff to Nats could have been from toying with the buffs, but it was a piece of code that was missed. Your bow probably has less damage due to the atk speed nerf &/or a BUG fix. AFAIK the number code behind the scenes is directly connected and be displayed on the tooltips from the database. I doubt they made the affix as a graphic on that tooltip. That would be an awful way to code it (for changing it in the future or like they did now ).

Nope, it certainly doesn't work that way.
Both in WoW and D3 (and every blizzard game) when a change is made in the database, the tooltip displays the old, incorrect value. It needs a client-side patch to change it manually. That's how it has always been.
The nerfs to Lingering Fog and Mantra of Healing. The patch was server-side (aka hotfix) so the patch notes mention in brackets that tooltips don't update automatically.

Skills != items. Skills (until patches and hotfixes change them) are set in "stone". Items are "randomly" generated stats. Not every stat on an item is, but it would not make sense to store them in a different way.
Some dev probably just said "Change the set bonus to increase discipline regeneration 'to' 2 per second" and the person who performed the change didn't understand and thought it meant to leave the mechanism as is, but increase the number to 2.
idc, not like I can afford a nat's set anyway so it doesn't affect me in the least.
I would like this video more, but the constant skipping in it (jumping from one point and suddenly elsewhere or almost at the end of an encounter) is really jarring. To be entering the dungeon/area one second, and just a few frames later be at the last 2% of an elite pack's HP is just maddening.
There are awesome ways to edit a video, but this is definitely not one of them.
Not to mention that Zoltun Kulle Archives can suck balls if you aren't lucky... It happens to me alot that theres only 1-2 packs in all 3 dungeons combined.
Vault of the Assassin is much more worth it in terms of elites: found 9 packs in it yesterday, most of the time 6+ packs.
Just saying..
Not to mention when you find a fallen manic pack that suicides and gives no loot/nv.
Act 2 desolated sands, oasis and it's dungeons are the best places for me. The cannals between oasis and desolated sands oftenly have 2 or more packs (it's a small place) and those packs are very easy (skeletons, fallens).

Only time I ever have to move on barb/monk in inferno is if a rare/champ has more than 3 projected AoE abilities. I wouldn't say it's harder (Because nothing in this game is hard anymore, hc excluded in some aspects) but it sure as hell can be a lot more tedious to do rares etc as ranged.
May I ask what your monks stats are?

Obviously the majority has spoken that the OP of that thread was a moron.

I have played far buggier games, but keep complaining, if it will make you happy...
Bugs do happen.
Bugs do get fixed.
If anything in a Blizzard game feels like a necessity, then it will probably get nerfed next patch.
