they print the handbook, but the rune system is not finished - i'm the only person who don't understand that?
I don't think there are going to be super specific stats in the manual. Just my thought. I remember in the Diablo II manual it gave general descriptions of skills and such, but didn't give anything specific.
It's the new way of news posting that Boubouille brought over from MMO Champion sadly. News items that share the same posting date are bunched up in one thread, no matter how many there are.
Nope, bibi isnt on, we did this, stop thinking everything is bibi's doing rofl.
well tbh we were debating for a very long time, make it its own post, or combine them...
The end, we figured as its not a 100% fact that its real, we figured its best to added it to the rest of the post..
I understand there can be negatives and positives to doing this posting style, and tbh We welcome any feedback you have big time =) (dont think because I said that means I just dismissed what you said, I read everything).
But like I said...after debating between ourself we figured its would be safer to throw it into this post. Maybe it should have its own, if that does end up being the case, we will keep this in mind for the future..
This may shock some people , but we do care about what you think =)
Them getting things printed now has nothing to do with the state of the game or how close they are to shipping: these are just colour test runs to make sure profiling is correct. You can't verify how CMYK looks on screen, you have to actually print them off and compare.
yep I agree, my point though is, they print manuals months in advanced. both still the end result is, its hard to really tie this to any release date kind of thing.
IMO the most important piece of information is that they may reveal the "final" runesystem before the next Beta patch. People talk a lot about Korean rating and other political stuff, but IMO the main reason for the delay is the runesystem reworking. When it is finished, I expect to get a release date just after they have a notion of the bugs, which shouldn't be a lot and needn't to be all fixed before fixing the release date.
I love the effect for Plague Bats and would love to play a WD with that just because it LOOKS so cool.
But what would the advantage of using Plague Bats be over Dire Bats (long-range) or Hungry Bats (rapid-firing homing bats) be? Plague Bats takes a while to reach its maximum 180% weapon damage per second whereas Dire Bats deals 200%+ right off the bat (no pun intended).
Not sure what the big deal about the manuals is. Is anyone surprised they're printing them? Acting like it would be some huge troll if it's fake... if someone comes out and says "OHHH I GOT YOU I FAKED EM!" oh well, no big deal since they're probably actually printing them anyways.
Manual must be legit. Wayyyyy too much work to fake this just for a leaked manual. Really not that hard to expect that they'd be getting this going since they're still shooting for Q1. The only doubt in my mind is because the rune system isn't done, that they probably aren't going into much detail with them in the manual besides that they alter your skills.
by reading the "We don't know. We were shooting for the end of 2011, and now we're shooting for first quarter 2012. As soon as we're sure of something (release date or otherwise) we'll be sure to let you know." does anyone feel like its not gonna happen in q1 of 2012 ? For me this post looks like q4 of 2011 - we didnt make it, now q1 of 2012 with a hidden massage of "we wont make it". i just feel like that , sorry.
Also its already q1 of 2012 until end of march and they dont have anything finalized, systems are not ready yet - how long ago i heard that and how long we can hear that again and again ? Getting bored.
The artwork is so awesome, that's what i expected D3 to look like. Instead it's cartoony wow gfx with nothing remotely scary or horrifying. Just looks cool and star wars flashy. I like the game mechanics though.
Firebat WD animation gave me another reason for playing that class last. He's either trying to hug someone badly or trying to learn how to dance too hard

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
you are joking right? what is here to be confirmed?
this is a print layout machine that print books, and there is no dought this is NOT a "fake" picture!
whats the point of waiting on confirmation?
Hi.
I work in promotions, as a graphic artist and print designer. I have access to machines that could easily replicate this using standard pieces of art found all over in the internet and a handful of minutes using Photoshop, some of them even in an acceptable resolution for such a print job (though, it would be unneeded for something like this)
So I wouldn't be so quick to assume that someone with too much time on their hands wants to stir the pot a little.
so wrong dude SO wrong.
true and real diablo players know their lore well and then play the game!
i always read the manual stories to get in motion and then hit the play button!
It's not wrong. We live in an age of instant gratification and self entitlement. You'd be surprised how few people actually care "deeply" about lore, compared to how many want to "LOG ON AND GET LOOTZ LOL"
I understand that for other games where the manual might only cover a few basics printing can be done months in advance but if D3 manual is as in-depth as it seems then it would mean that all the systems mentioned are locked.
Lets just hope that its a really really detailed manual
More importantly, the female barbarian in the manual has the "sonja the red" sleekness. Any chance the playable female barbarian will look less like Rick Flair without an adams apple?

I'm afraid of Apple customers. Wait until they make the iCar -you can't change the floormats and only Apple sells the gas. Don't worry, they'll buy it.

manuals can be printed MONTHS in advanced, so this really shouldnt point you to think anything of a release date.
