I am deeply concerned here...this is how PvP started in WoW too. First the honor system, then battlegrounds. Pretty soon the devs were engaged in a constant battle to maintain balance, sometimes even on a 1v1(aka ridiculously miniscule) level. PvE balance suffered constantly, as PvP related nerfs/boosts would lead to PvE related stress. There is only one game which had an excellent PvE and PvP game, and that game died when they destroyed the balance between PvE and PvP. I really hope this will be just a fun diversion, and does not do to D3 what it did to WoW.

Just to quote the article, they did say something which may comfort you:
In the open Q&A we got some answers and clarifications regarding PvP versus PvE balance. The final answer is that PvE balance is never and in no way going to be affected by the PvP. The main focus of Diablo III is PvE and they intend to keep it that way.
I would like to see a sort of deathmatch free-for-all stage implemented
larger scale with corridors and elevations preferably randomized, not unlike a single floor of a diablo 2 dungeon
i think this would be a fun diversion from the arena where theres not enough space to really lose track of your enemy so that you may inevitably and unexpectedly collide once more.
whether or not theres healthglobes i dont really care for, if there is i think they should be sparse but anyways
if this has already been discussed please humor me
They never said that. I don't know what information you are confusing that for. Maybe that the Wizard couldn't use tow-handed weapons which still isnt even entirely true.

Did anyone notice that the barb uses 2hand axe, and in blizzcon 2010 they sayed that there are no 2h weapons ?
As Liquorice noted, in the PvM demo the Barb starts with a 1H sword and shield equipped with a 2H sword in the inventory. In the PvP demo the Barb only gets a 2H axe and inventory is empty.
10 minute timer and how many round?? Remove health globe and add resilience. Resilience helps to survive a brutal 3v3 team focus target..hell even 3 noob barbarian can charge n WW a good player to death.

As many rounds as you can fit. They already stated at Blizzcon they won't be adding resilience because it's a PvP-specific adjustment which doesn't enhance the PvM experience. Focusing fire is generally a good strategy no matter what class you're playing...

That's no fun at all in 3v3 or 4v4.. when someone get killed instantly less than 3 seconds..thats no fun in pvp how so ever.
Battle.net's matchmaking system will attempt to pair you up against equal teams, so it will be less of a skill related issue if you're getting smoked instantly. Granted there will be some rocks-paper-scissors situations, the Battle Arenas were designed for fast-paced iterative fights, so maybe you'll get focused one fight but you'll get many chances to adapt your strategy. It's not like WoW arenas where you have to wait in queue and you only get one round.

Hopefully we can get up to 3-5 rounds in one team battle, waiting in queue would happen eventually depends on the server etc. Since there won't be much healing invole..players health will drop to zero in a matter of seconds depends on how players control n utilize their skills&abilities. But the main part is having fun and getting "focus targeted" is not fun at all and blizzard need to fix that.
Most classes will have abilities to counter focused fire which usually revolve around damage reduction or evasion. Blizzard does not need to add resilience.

Then they should add reduce dmg by gear quality like a green armor reduce dmg up to 3 dmg n blue gear reduce dmg by 6 etc.
Well, you're going to get some advantage from having better quality gear, but gear only gives you the potential to do well, it's skill that let's you realize your potential. That's the take away I got from the demo.

What i am saying is that getting focus target by 3 or 4 players is not fun. That's why i think resilience would be good for that situation.

I understand why that might seem like a good idea, but I doubt Blizzard will put it in for the reasons I mentioned: damage reduction and evasion skills, matchmaking, fast game turnover, and not sucking.

I don't see how resilience in that kind of situation would not really achieve anything except draw the death out a few moments. Just surviving longer can also be achieved with skills (as Apoc mentions).
As for items with general damage reduction I think it's quite possible we'll see something like that in game. If they will be good enough to stack for PvP is hard to speculate on though.
Well resilience is basically WoW's way of changing how skills and attacks function in PvP, as it just makes it so that DoTs and Crits do less damage, and I think now it makes it so you just take less damage overall. D3 will achieve the same thing by making it so that all Traits/Skills do less damage or have cooldowns in PvP areas.
Seriously, No PK is geigh. Really geigh. Show me someone that doesn't think it's fun to go hostile and pwn a bunch of fools while they're trying desparately to complete whatever quest and i'll show you a liar or a n00b. Arenas are geigh, having pvp as only a consentual thing it too limiting. IT'S FUN TO KILL UNSUSPECTING NOOBZ. Just imagine if sex had to be consentual...

Maybe you confused it with the fact that the barbarian started out with 1hand and shield in the demo (that's what I heard at least).
