I don't worry about removing tp at all. tp is actually a very important mechanic in D2, removing this feature means a brand new thing was designed.
Depending on how spaced out the Waypoints in Diablo III are (about 10 minutes is what I heard), then removing TP's will be no problem at all. It will be something that we'd all get used to pretty quick.
I think 10 minutes apart is too far. Joining a game and traveling that far to reach the group would take too long.
Well part of the point is that theres a cost to travelling back to town. Its not supposed to be easy. And I don't think its 10 minutes apart, iirc it was described as a waypoint per level of a dungeon, and maybe a bit more often than that. Considering the dungeons will be randomized, it won't be that bad to have to occasionally clear a dungeon floor an extra time.
Yeah. We done know exactly how it works but there is some system that allows you to join up instantly with groups. It will probably just teleport them to the leader of the party when you first join the group.
