If you're referring to the fact that he says damage types are subject to change, it seems like they pretty much throw that on the end of everything they say, as they could technically reiterate something or change it if they want to. It doesn't mean that they actually will, its just something they leave open for pretty much everything.
And I think diseases jumping from one person to another is a Locust Swarm specific thing. I don't think all diseases have that effect, but it would make sense for other diseases to be contagious.
Yes, he says that everything is subject to change in every quoted sentence.. I hope it's just something he says so that he cannot take any blame in case something changes, but that also makes me worry about game completion and about how well defined ideas about the game are.
If everything is still up in the air, i doubt a beta will come any soon.. I just hope we'll be able to play Diablo 3 in a year at maximum.
A year ago, and I'm sure a lot of times before then, but I mostly noticed them last year, in WoW, they got blamed to hell constantly because they kept talking of things and changes just like that, without any warning that it might change.
And people take these things for granted so much and then rage because its not as they said, and start hating the guys as if they lied to the community.
In other words, its just much safer to state very precisely that anything they say COULD change. Because one of these things might just be touched back. Disease could be removed, and that wouldn't take that much work or anything.
Its just to avoid the raging of the community and having nothing to back themselves up.
What I want to know is if Disease deals damage on top of the debuff (similar to Cold), and if that damage is DoT or of it is instant. I also want to know what the resistance for both is called.
Well pretty much the only disease skill we know is Locust Swarm and that deals damage. Although it could vary from disease to disease with the debuff being the only constant among diseases. And yea, Nature Resistance would make sense.
Well I guess technically we don't, and it could not be, but I just was under the impression that that was the case. It at least seems like more of a disease than the witchdoctor's other skills (with the exception of parasite, which we haven't seen in action afaik).
They took out the thing where you use locust swarm/fire bomb to imbue your zombie dogs, but they put in runes that have a very similar effect and can boost the damage/health etc of the zombie dog.
Well thanks for the front page post of my barb piece, made me feel good haha. I have been a reader of so many forums and including devientART and have never posted anything. So to see something of mine on the front page was ... well exciting

@Ophion: Nature resistance might be a possibility

Anybody know if they decided to bring back the disease imbued mongrels (zombiedogs)?
