Would never work that way. People respec in WoW cause in WoW you need to rely on eachother to do anything, in Diablo...you are a god...you rely on noone. Respec hasn't been in Diablo ever and I have yet to have an issue making a character that needs helps or would require me to respec, worst case scenario since leveling is so easy in Diablo would be to remake.
If you are truely dueling, you should know you can't fit 3 full character versions of gear in your stash. Unless you are simply dueling 1v1 which is a rare oddity, but even then I don't find this possible. Maybe if they increased the stash then yea I could see this doable but even then it will just water down to kids respecing 24/7 to try and gain an upper hand or just to copy a build, in the end in about an hours worth of trash talk and pussiness of sitting in town you get maybe 1 duel.
So what you are telling me is that Diablo is not a team game?
You couldn't fit 2 sets of gear in your stash/inv/cube? How much gear do you wear? Some items will even be the same between builds.

And you can't level your character to 80 in a few hours in WoW WoW is about having one character per class while Diablo is about having one character per build.

Diablo is a solo experience first and foremost, if it was a team game characters such as medics would actually be useful and needed. Diablo doesn't require a team to do anything, I can make any character and solo the game in an 8 player game with no problem including UT.
You need resistance gear, proper FHR gear, proper FCR gear, ect. It depends on what type of character you have. Want your zealer you need a fortitude or a damage dealing armor, want that hammerdin you need an enigma. Want that hammerdin you need a FCR weapon, while as the zealer needs a damage dealing weapon. Add in another character lets say a FOHer since like I said a medic is useless, and then you need a FOH stick since FCR doesn't count. Also require different shields for zealer vs hammerdin/foh. Also need different gloves, rings, boots, helmets, belts. There is alot more to it if you are actually building a complete dueler who can take any issue. If you are building your characters to just deal with only say sorceresses then sure it is possible to fit all the gear but to make a real dueler who can take 7v1 then fitting 3 classes worth of gear in 1 stash is not possible.
I don't know if this is new or not because I play a lot of Eastern Sun Mod, but was the rune text always colored? I thought they were always white grey. I found an Eld, and it's orange text.
If it's new, I think it is awesome. If it is an old feature it's still awesome, but then I guess its just been too long since I've played vanilla.
Edit: Well, every rune I've found is orange. It feels new, but maybe it's just me. Did they bump all the rune drop rates, because I found a Shael today sprinting my way through the Chaos sanctuary in Normal difficulty. Or is this a standard drop there?
I personally can't enjoy D2 solo. A team is not required, and it shouldn't, but it is still more enjoyable with more people. The solo experience sucks
I understand that, and that is true. Diablo is better with teams and more fun but you can't deny it is a solo experience first and foremost. I love to rub this in the face of people who say PvP wasn't planned or was just tacked onto Diablo, well guess what so was Battle.net. What thought or planning went into Battle.net? A few channels? The use of an already made engine? Your whole team play and co-op vision of Diablo is nothing more then a lie or a tacked on make believe thing. If PvP was just tacked on then sure as hell battle.net was as well.
Well Battle.net is simply several people in a single player game Not very complicated.
But it has 2 important features. Muling (side effect) and an economy (planned). The economy is a 100% multiplayer experience that many people enjoys more than the actual combat.
The economy wasn't planned. That is what makes Diablo so great. The fanbase created essentially everything for Diablo on battle.net, The PvP rules, what item was worth what, what build was the flavor of the month, ect. Blizzard didn't do shit to help Diablo, it has always been it's fans that did it all. You put limitations on Diablo and designate a certain item for economy or you designate blizzard ruled rules only for PvP and Diablo will lose its charm.
I didn't say anything about trade being different.
I know you didn't, you seem to understand the importance of PvP in Diablo as well as the PvM aspect. Just stating that for all the people that say PvP doesn't exist in Diablo or that it was never thought of, it's just funny cause their beloved PvM and trading part is barely any better if any better.
Yea seth there are 5 major hacks out there that cripple Diablo.
1) TPPK
2) Auradin Glitch
3) Barbarian Drop game glitch
4) TMC which makes your character have full FHR and FCR without any gear
5) AA - But if you remove the other glitches then AA is very easily dealable in a duel since people that AA are typically really bad at dueling.
Remove those and Diablo would be a hell of alot better then it is with respec. Oh wait I forgot they changed some names of Act 5 mercs!!! Yay!

These latter two... TMC? I've heard of and seen third-party programs that alter your FCR and stuff, but I didn't know there was a glitch that did it.
*Those 4 items instead of a 4th respect should give a "teleport" lvl 1 skill while in your inventory ( transmuted to 1 item ), like a charm that gives a skill ( new to the game but doable ).

Did you forget about drop rates? The economy was somewhat planned. Maybe not 100% (Blizzard didn't dictate what the currency was gonna be) but the economy was obviously somewhat planned.
