In case you're not up to speed, we're now releasing bi-weekly Community Spotlight Articles, the first of which was released last Sunday.
Thus far, we've included threads that have garnered impressive discussion, some info on the happening in the wiki, a mandatory fan art and fan fiction section, and a section devoted to the Roleplaying forum, as well as name changes, if they happen.
BUT, we can always add more.
This is where you come in, these articles are about you, the user, so it makes sense to give you a say in what they will include.
Simply put, throw down your ideas for these articles, mainly what they should include, but anything else worth mentioning will be taken into account as well.
This thread will be updated with suggestions as they are posted, and will eventually be made into a poll.
To get you started off, we've considered adding a section for blue posts that didn't get any face time, basically a section for Blizzard posts that got away.
Suggestions
1) Blue/Twitter posts that didn't make it into news, but still stand out.
2) Posts that stand out, such as funniest, worst, most informative, ect.
3) Forum changes (such as the PvP, PvM forums)
4) User of the bi-week.
4.5) Possibly a history included for said user.
5) A quick mention of any new users who made an introduction thread, make them feel more welcomed.
6) A summary of what the wiki team is working on, so users can help out, and so you can expect what new articles are on their way.
7) A blog section

Some ideas-
How about including things like-
1. Most well-reasoned(or informative) post(will be hard to beat Don_guillotine on that one- the guy knows too much:P)
2.Funniest post
3.Dumbest post(i hope nobody will compete for that one, then I could get some spotlight)
Seriously tho...will have to find another word for 'dumbest'...to keep things friendly.
Anyway that will be much more work on ur behalf but more users here could get in the spotlight like that.
Hope it helps.:)
Should probably make it aware to the community that you now have a PVP and a PVM sub forum for the Diablo 2 section.
From it's lack of activity I am guessing
A) Noone plays Diablo anymore till d3
Noone knows about the sub forums
C) They are using another site for that activity
I am gonna go with both A and B. Altho I know for a fact C is thriving.
Maybe do a User of the week type of thing? That would be cool. Pick me?

Maybe in the spotlight thread it will cover the history of that user. Maybe overall how that person has effected other or how the user has contributed?

Is there a problem? If so, Reptar can solve it rather quickly.

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
What gave me the idea was someone's suggestion for putting a "spotlight" on unique posts. It made me think how unique the forum would be if it did something like this that really distinguished the community and those within it. Then I thought, let's distinguish someone specifically every week! I think it would set us apart from other communities don't you? It would make the DiabloFans.com experience that much more personal with a much closer community.

Perhaps a introduction of the newly joined users (that are active and not one post wonders). It would make them feel more welcome.
That's a very good idea also. I feel like we have done that before though for some odd reason...Have we? And thank you, I'll congratulate you on yours in a few short posts!

D) That would be impossible because what is the correct reasoning is different for everyone. Someone makes a well-reasoned post about why we should have PvP only, but would that have a chance at winning? Obviously no because most players love PvM. You must have the same opinions as most other people to win this one, even if your post makes a lot of sense and is well-reasoned.
I think u got it all wrong there man. u see for a post to be well-reasoned, it doesn't have to actually tally with ur own opinion. In fact, if it doesn't tally with ur opinion and still manages to look well-reasoned and informative to u, it will be more impressive.
But it would not win Humans are not computers, we have opinions and automatically judge people by their opinions.
I understand ur opinion on the matter. My thought actually was based on the assumption that most of us here(am sure u included 2) are NOT conceited and immature to the extent of being unable to recognize a well-explained and logical post.
So I could get on the list if I make a great post (logical, mature, serious, well explained) about why D3 should have mechwarriors?
I really don't think that would happen ^^ It would go against most peoples opinion about what Diablo is; a medieval world without technology like that.
Until u try it, you'l never know:P
Wooaahhh...Mechwarriors? Plz explain...

edit: Added to the OP
what i mean is that on the last assignment phrozen, me and lt. venom ended up doing all the skill pages (180+)
But, will definitely put it into the thread ^^.
