If a Canadian citizen wins a prize they will be required to answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question. If a potential winner from Canada cannot be contacted and the skill test administered within three (3) days of notification, or the question is not correctly answered, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.

Wow, I haven't the slightest, although it's kind of funny
Maybe that's something that Canada requires when people go to video game things? To make sure that they aren't shirking their education in favor of multimedia immersion? Dunno

This is ridiculous. Is this a Blizzard thing or a Canadian government thing or just what the hell is going on. Its the summer so its not like students have anything better to do.
I never took math in grade 12 and my major is in East Asian studies...I haven't done a math problem in years...

Well I would hope not, with our archaic education system and all :/.
I really hope it's a Canadian government thing though, If Bizzard actually put that in themselves, basically all my respect for them was just thrown out the window.

Side note: Notice how pretty much none of the new users garnered from our own contests still post here. They milked the site for the tickets. I think its a little lame how a practically professional artist can come in and jack the tickets and just leave. Seems unfair.

Yeah I noticed that as well...
It's disappointing, but hey, the admins/mods can't restrict the contests to people who have been here for a long time, that would be way too exclusive, and would deter new members from joining.
And we can't force them to stay around and post...
Oh well, maybe they'll come back.

i wouldve entered one of the contests on here. but i had no skill in that kind of stuff. lol. but yeah. maybe we couldve made it to where you had a certian number of posts. like 10 or something. idk. but yeah. i hope one of us on here gets it.
But since this announcement isn't about a ticket raffle we're running, that is completely off topic and I'm sure you all wouldn't mind stopping, right? Right.
This thing doesn't appear to require any kind of special skill or anything to discern the winner, it looks like luck, so everyone has a fair chance at it.

It's not about luck. There is a section for entering your favorite character class. The key is to enter Troll Mage. Those are the ones that will win.

Yeah, something like a certain number of posts would've worked. But then again, people could have just posted that many times, posted their entry, then screwed off.

To answer it's a Canadian government thing, any prize that can be won by just pure luck must be accompanied by a relatively simple math question (along the line of"what is 2 + 3 * (12+9)?"). What I find even worse is that, as usual, Quebec with it's god awful laws makes it either too troublesome or impossible to allow us poor folks into these lovely sweepstakes.
I hope one of you love people win, and then gives us all a lovely log of how pampered you were :P.
Seth, Zhar...It was sarcasm guys. I was implying that the mini category was meant to weed out people that would enter lame classes suck as warlock and deathknight and that (my favorite class) the troll mages would be the real winners simply because it was my favorite class.
Can't believe that sarcasm wasn't noticeable. You guys are slipping.
