World of Diablo lol that is a funny one. Thought I really would not like it if that was really going to happen.... I like having my game that I can play offline if I chose to without having to pay for it again and again may it be hourly or monthly. I'm sry, but I really enjoyed playing the full story, and not having to go online, especially when it first came out, I still had a slow inet connection now with cable no problem xD
One of my favorite things to do with D2 is LAN with a friend. With just the two of us beating the game all the way thru hell. It was a great experience to not be exposed to the online economy.
I am. There are more hints than that but those are the newest one you posted. It's beyond obvious they will announce it. It will probably be towards the end of the last day though.
hey i wouldent put it past blizz 2 pick that date 2 get hype...or 2 piss us off...theyve done it before...does ne one remember the gayness of 2006 and E3...?
get your hopes up people, something simply must happen at the end of wwi!!!! you seem to forget the positives quickly:
1. why would they choose THE DATE and not any other?? just to piss us off? that would make no sense at all. the coinciding date is a great hint, because if they just stuck a needle into a calendar and choose the date, they would have a 1:365 chance. so this must mean something, or can you think of any other date which would mean something specially for this game?
2. diablo3.com being transferred is also a hint, although a smaller one
3. xfire wwi tagline
4. pinata, all the other hints, top secret diablo positions opened
i mean come on, how can you not give it more than 50/50, i'm thinking more about 80/20.
now who is with me on this one? any true diablofans here?
also, a month ago md and umaro were so active here, md had a lot of posts where he defended wwi as the announcement place, now for some reason he is quiet and just posts news etc.. no high hopes from him.... seems simillar to those blizz people who know something and just don't tell
Don't forget that WWI has been rated 16 and older, and that Diablo is the only Blizzard franchise rated mature.
I'm telling you people it's a conspiracy from Blizzard, they're just playing with our minds to make us go crazy before bludgeoning us with something even crazier. There's apparently no reason for them to announce D3, but still every evidence are pointing in that direction.
I can still remember some of the first signs that made rumours go crazy... who remember the one with the orchestra who supposedly was recording the theme music? :-D
I remember that, it was forever and a half ago
Honestly though, despite whether or not we get new rumors or leaks... if Blizz has plans to announce it they will announce it regardless of what we see beforehand.

I personally just don't get it. Blizzard must be twisted and sick, to want us to suffer all this time haha. I don't see why they don't just be straight up about their games. Yes, we are making it. No, we are not. Sure, they say that but we can't believe them, seeing what they did with Starcraft II. I just don't understand why they lie, how come they don't tell us when they first begin making it? Espicially when they know there are sites such as this dedicated to it. What is the point of the "Top Secret" projects?

I do! Lol, good times
I don't understand why a 16-year age limit is a big deal, though. Aren't M games 17+?

And the fact that they have 3 main hall rooms this year to "to accommodate" the fans, if one is for WoW WotLK, the other for SC2 the last one has got to be for Diablo III
A lot of WoW players are also Diablo fans, part of why they love WoW so much is because it lends a lot of Diablo's gameplay. If Diablo 3 will be announced, it will be HUGE and almost every Blizzard fan will be thrilled. How can you not see that for huge amounts of people who are bored with WoW, Diablo 3 will be THE game to make the transition?
A diablo 3 MMO would not be competition for WoW cause they would retain their paying userbase, a subscriber free Diablo 3 however would, because they would lose subscribers. Business wise it just wouldn't be the smartest thing to do for Blizzard. The only good counter argument i have seen so far is the fact that if diablo's development is so far ahead, they could have never figured this out since WoW wasn't that big yet back then.
Diablo 2 and WoW have similar RPG elements, sure, but I think you are overthinking it.
Diablo 3 is still going to be a point and click hack and slash. It's still going to have a beginning, middle and end. More people will buy it for the single player than the multiplayer, I am wililng to bet. Diablo 3 won't see many content patches if its not suscribed either.
Essentially, what I am saying, is the majority of Blizzard fans aren't going to pick one or the other. They are going to probably play both. I am sure Blizzard is NOT worried about it
And technically, if Diablo 3 was an mmo it WOULD compete with WoW because it would take subscriptions from that game. It might not make a difference in profit for Blizzard, but on the game level they would be competing.
What Blizzard is looking for is a MMO that sets a different route from WoW, that way they can capture a new portion of the market and keep loyal fans playing both games.

Blizzard - Your breaking my balls.
Starcraft 2 is a lie, just another one of Blizzards pranks to bring the gaming community down. Expect a "just kidding" at Blizzcon '08

Alright I really don't want to be "that guy" on this thread who brings up the blizzard employment opportunities page again... but has anyone else noticed how on the image of all the characters from various diablo franchises, Diablo is not only in the center but he is the only character with out some sort of hazy filter to his image? The red on the orcs shoulder armor is about the same color but yet it doesnt seem nearly as bright and vibrant... Idunno just throwing that one out there :offtopic::spam:
