Hey MedievalDragon, what is your favorite Blizzard game? Favorite game of all time?
To be honest, my favorite game has been World of Warcraft. I have played it since closed beta 2004. Seconded by Starcraft which I played from 2001.
I purchased Diablo II and LOD by December 2004 to write up the lore in the website. I did enjoy playing the single player beating the game with a mage and necromancer. It kinda sucked when I put my points into frost tree and later on bosses were immune to frost lol. I liked the lore and I have read Diablo: The Sin War. I plan to collect all the Diablo novels at some point.
And if they don't make a Diablo 3, maybe we could all just become awesome programmers and make our own
if no d3 i will personally put a bullet in someones head >:-(
Ooohhh I like the sounds of "World Of Sanctuary". You know, a game called that would sound pretty neat. Seems to roll off the tounge nicely.
zz basically saying world of non diablo infested world -.-... im liking "world of chuck" you start as mister t... then jackie chan... then bruce lee... then jesus... then god... then chuck norris... only move is roundhouse kick because you can kill anything with a round house kick... i mean cmon look at the dmg on that baby on the pokechuck card below... 6000 dmg for roundhouse kick... my chuck > ur charizard

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Everyone was actually fighting over this a month or two ago (The "World of Sanctuary" thing.)

The first line was on topic; don't blame him- he knows not what he does xD
I would "lol" that, but I hear that's considered this nifty thing called "spam." Oh well. In any case, I think calling it something a little more vague like World of Sanctuary might be a good thing, since we're going to have to stop bringing Diablo back from near death eventually, it gets rather redundant, lol.

Is that meaning that there WILL be one?

Dude, I can forgive you for prefering world of warcraft... I think...
but coming into diablo3.com and talk about "mages" (assuming you mean sorceress :P) and "frost tree" (it scratches my heart to hear that about coldskill-tree)
hehe just kidding
obviously from a diablo freaks perspective you're under an extreme world of warcraft addiction and hence you're corrupt, while we all know diablo>wow, or?
kidding.. again...
or wait, am I?
Lol. He did fuck his wording up badly didn't he?
I almost said to go make an introduction thread but then checked and realized you've been around longer then me.
Side note: Medieval is kinda worshiped around here so you might get flamed for pointing out errors he says.

W-World of Warcraft!!!??? OH GOD!!! Pay to play sucks!.... Ah well, do you think they will put a charge on Battle.net? I heard those rumors are recirculating since the guys at Blizzard have not decided whether or not to put a monthly/bi-monthly charge on B.net. (and no, I don't have the link, you'll just have to find it yourself.)

What is normal? Normal is a concept that everyone or a majority of people are the same or similar. However, we know that everyone is unique. If everyone is unique, then everyone is different. If everyone is different, then everyone is weird. If everyone is weird, then everyone is normal.

You are legally allowed to play online via Battle.net for life when you purchase the game. Therefore, Battle.net will be free forever.
The real question is about this new "Battle.net 2" that is rumored to be "in the works." That could really fuck us over.

I have a theory, but it is just that. I have a feeling Battle.net 2.0 will continue to be free-gameplay, with a pay-to-play component with extra-features. Think Hellgate: London.
i can live with not having some extra features and play battle.net for free. but if its like a wow payment then i wouldnt be happy. if its like an xbox live payment. were you can pay 50$ a year. then i might pay. but this would make my life at a high point.
I don't know, I might not buy any more Blizzard games if they charge for Battle.net. It would just prove their company objective changed from making groundbreaking, best games in the world, rage against the machine rebels to a Microsoft ideology (profits over all else).
MedievalDragon, I think you should start a new thread discussing this. It might make a difference.

Aye. Fifty dollers a year would be much better then stretched out over the year. (Plus thats alot cheaper then 15 dollers a month. ;))
Though, ask yourself, is it right? These games have always been free to play, is it really right to make them pay to play all of a sudden? Is it?...

Yes, there was something about that somewhere in one of the posts on this site, I remember reading something like they haven't decided yet and they may make pay-to-play for certain regions or something like that. Good luck finding it on here, though, hehe.
And on the payment thing, it would be nice if they'd let you have like a month fre (which I think they do in WoW, your first month or something, or atleast that was availible in the new SC Battle Chest) and then you only had to pay like 100 bucks for life time play, like LOTR online. Even though it looks monstrous upfront, it would save you a ton in the end, and it would be less of a hassle, because you wouldn't have to keep paying over and over again.

I'd much much rather think of Guild: Wars.
