I noticed the same thing myself. I think there were more WC3 fans in there than WoW fans - they went mildly nuts for the vid.
This, I would like to believe, is because there is a lack of young children at Blizzcon, which, I would estimate provides the most raucous crowd of WoW fans.
I bet there would be mayhem if they announced Diablo's next title.
Also, I think I'm going to cry or have a panic attack. I can't live on my computer for the next 48 hours but it's so hard when you have the live coverage right at your fingertips!
am i the only one that thinks its good news that they did WoW the lich king... whatever at the start of blizzcon thats means its not the big anoncement

Blizzard tends to announce their big deals at the beginning of their conventions. They announced SC2 at the very beginning of their convention in Korea, i believe.
actually at the beginning of the live stream the president co-founder of blzizard the guy talking at the opening ceremony when he was telling everyone what was planned for the day.. he clearly said the devs will be talking about there projects that they have been working on. That really got me excited. Then this guy came out about to make an announcement i thought he was gonna announce something diablo related but then i looked closer at his shirt and he had the World of Warcraft logo on it.. then i knew it was a expansion.. but yes i think they really will announce something and im pretty damn sure someone during the discussion Q&A panels with the devs someone will ask about Diablo 3.. so yea
