Man-bear-pig gave me an idea. Since everyone's obsessed with shapeshifters, how about a class whos skills solely mimic monsters. Examples:
Tree one: Limb shifting
skill: Megademon Wings
Character grows megademon wings for x seconds, gaining hover (allows access over broken bridges and traps)
picture a scrawny, pale woman with a HUGE arm and razor sharp claws like that of a demon, and you have the premise of my idea. A character that is weak and frail but compensates by knowing the biology of monsters and humans well enough to interchange the parts. Stomp around on the mighty legs of thorned hulks! Hide in the guise of a willowisp! The limit is your imagination!...And skill point intake...
Tree two: Skill shifting
skill: Leaper Hop
Character lunges at enemy, knocking it back and dealing x damage
Tree two: Deception
skill: mating call
Target monster is drawn away from his target to attack character (for getting Uber-Baal off of your squishy. Use and run like hell, Baal may want to take the relationship to a new level. 8-O)
Zoner dude i think I know what you mean and that would be an amazing class. It would be soooo interactive. Like you can change different aspects of your char with monsters you find continuously for each guy you want to fight.
Lets say that you are under attack by a group of fallen, some zombies, a tree dude and a couple of those rhino monsters you can take his form and gain the charge skill and rip through the fallen, grab the form of the tree and crush the rhinos, take the form of a zombie and poison the tree, switch back to the rhino and rape the rest of the zombies . . . . ooooooo me likey. You could make it so fast paced.
It doesn't classify as 'new' so much as another take and interpretation of the Necromancer.
Visceramancer
Similarly to how a Necromancer can manipulate the dead, the Visceramancer manipulates the living, spawning abysmal horrors from the flesh of his enemies. The things of nightmares blossom forth, tearing their way from their hosts, rending them in twain and asunder by way of themselves. Tendrils, tentacles, with eyes innumerable or nonexistent, the very embodiments of fear are his tools. Be wary, or the clay used to craft them may be you.
The class would take advantage of the 'near death' trigger action mechanic seen with the 'fatalities' of the Siege Beast in the gameplay trailer, having to weaken enemies before he can bring forth his variety of horrors. There would be a variety of different graphical versions of base minions, and also specialized minions which could be summoned for specific tasks.
Some sort of Stealth/agility based hero like a thief or assassin (but different from the other one). Abilities include invisibility, aura that causes monsters to have decreased sight range, and evasion type abilities.
And maybe bring back the monk but make him more of a spellcaster. It would include stat boosting type spells, healing, and even offensive spells.
Moving on... its not exactly new but what about either act 2 or 3 merces became a playable class... I could see that happening

Blackguard: The opposite version of Paladin combining melee and direct-damage spells.
Archmage: Evil version of a pure non-summoner caster specialized in cold and shadow-type of damage DD spells instead elemental schools, for a change (in D1 and D2, necromantic spells were classified simply as Magic damage, but they could rename it to Shadow or Unholy for the sake of consistency).
Vipermage: Same as above. Handling poison and fire damage and hypnosis.
Shadowdancer: An Assassin type of a class that is more magical and less kinetic in nature.
Warlord: A class handling ranged weapons and long spears/axes but also magical abilities which debuff enemies and buff allies in terms of combat readyness.
1) Hyerophant: A pure spell caster that mix Elemental Spells (Cold/Lightinning, no fire), "white" spells (like healing and undead banishment), and some pure magic spells linked gravity and time control. This caster fills the slot for a "Holy" character, but different from the pally, once his a pure caster. Those heavy mixes is for a less generical class - if you got only the white spells it would be a half of WoW priest, if you got only the magical and elemental it would be a generic magician.
2) A Stealth class. Diablo never had a gfood descent class based at sneak attacking. This class could also get some ranged weapon proficiency and maybe traps.
i find a healer class a kind of cheaper way than using pots because a high level healer with a good heal spell can spam the heal (unless theres a long cooldown) which would be pots in a portable person unlimited so long as he has enough mana...although i do like the idea of a monk/cleric/priest/bishop/cardinal/rabbi/ any kind of holy person i personally would name it bishop only because he powerful yet not to puwerful... give hima holy stike which summons a beam of light that rains down on the 15 closest enemies and give it high damage a small cooldown around 10 seconds and youve gt a good lvl 30 skils other skills could include heal holy bolt light which is an aurraa which gives the bishop increased defense
it just makes for a good all around class not only to heal but to make a good fighter out of them too... although i dont like the heal it would have to be there as he is a member of a clergy which ussually "HEALS" people so to speak

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
A melee mage? or a Sage per-se... Sages are sort of clerics/mages on their own right with a high earth affinity which means they pick plants all day, right? A brainy farmer so to speak. Yeah a farmer class would be cool too.
Although I like to put sages on my spaghetti more than farmers. Farmers are hard to chew.
id be willing to bet money that well see one two or possibly 3 remade d2 chars.... well we already have one so theres that... i bet 2 more at least will be remakes of sorts... a sorcer/ess, ranged missle character and a character similar to the paladin.... i mean how can they not have at least a couple of those?

Warrden
- defensive class and could replace some of the Paladin abilities
Hunter
- hybrid class that can use spear or bow. can also utilize traps and possible pets.
Thane
- Also could replace Paladin
Nightshade
- specialize in stealth and stabbing weapons
Enchanter
- Magic class that can deal damage and enhance group abilities
Scout
- Bow class with limited stealth
Thats all for now.

No but really, I'd like to see a dark caster/trapper - but NOT similar to the Assassin. The Assassin was the worst.
Although I like to put sages on my spaghetti more than farmers. Farmers are hard to chew.
