I also hope if a rogue or assassin class is in D3 that they can "hide" from the monsters somehow, or go full on stealth/ethereal.
And then skills could make it so there first attack on strike back from stealth would make like a big explosion or something.
So you could stealth and walk into a huge group of monsters then BOOM!
That would make for some fun gameplay!
Would be fun gameplay but it would interfere with the story because people would just stealth their way through the game and bypass the unexpected suprises with incredibly strong and unexpected monsters that will always kill you the first time you try it and be like "Wtf?"
sorry for the tantrum stealth probably wouldnt work unless its like a similar spell where they can see you but 95% of the attacks miss for like 15 seconds

no one said unlimited stealth
maybe like 5 or 10 seconds top.
with a cool down of course, so you cant stealth through....
-Paladin, I hope he makes a return
-Amazon, Although i believe they will be implimented in the form of Rogue(like the act 1 npc's ), the name will be none gender biased while having the same sort of fighting style as a zon.
-Ninja, in place of Assassin but with no nonsense stealth ability, more hard hitting semi squishy class
-Druid, I would like to see the druid return, it is a great class
-Some sort of dark arts caster, preferably a shadow damage oriented priest, or as suggested in a previous post a Warlock of some sort.
I always wanted to see an Achilles/Spartan type character whom could throw javelin and still be good with a sword/shield. Other than that i just always liked my necro.... Oh well im still gonna play

Good thing Hell doesn't know when to give up..... I was getting bored!!!

Its basically the same thing as an amazon dude but with a u know what and a mustache
I think because they're only going to have 5, they are going to stick with the basics. Barb satisfies the warrior, Witch Doctor kind of takes over the Necromancer position.. It's too close to a Necro to have another type thats similar to it when there is only 5 choices. There has to be a ranged attacker like a Amazon/Rogue, there has been since Diablo 1. There has to be a elementalist/sorcerer/mage/warlock type class that does a lot of spells because there was been since Diablo 1. The last one could be anything which I think will be a new character that they are going to have a lot of fun with.. Maybe later they will release 2 more like they did with the Druid and Assassin as soon as they get these 5 all balanced lol..
Barb
Rogue
Sorcerer
Witch Doctor
Surprise Character

maybe there will be a tank character (Like the Paladin) and Barb isnt a tank look at the skin he shows off, so the only tank that i think existed would be a paladin or they might create some type of knight wit defensive auras and all that.

sounds good to me.. but i'll like to see something like an Transmuter...someone that alters properties of an existing thing, creature, or condition... like turn a demon into a rock or hell even a chest.. something like that might fall under a sorcerer
Just some possible ideas for new D3 characters along with possible skills, what do you think?
Yes, I realize that they are many thread similar to this, but I hope this is a little different and more thought out. Everything here is pure speculation. Don't continue if you hate reading, sorry.
The Crusader:
-The Church of the Zakarum fell after the rampant corruption that plagued it twenty years ago. The descendants of the Church have formed the Order of Light. While not a true religion, they are strong in their Faith and Will to rid the world from demonic influence. The Order of Light is practiced at several monastery-cities scattered around Sanctuary. Pinnacles of Light among the all consuming Darkness.
The monks of these monasteries are not warriors, but they provide hope and shelter to the helpless as best they can. They know of the success of the Paladins that served the Church before them, and therefore have taken on the training of their own Holy Warriors.
Often taught by the last few surviving Paladins, Crusaders are trained from a young age. Learning the dangers of temptation, the value of selflessness, and martial ability, they are among the last hope for mankind. While it is said that they draw power from the Heavens above, the monks realized that much of the Crusaders' power comes from within. Through sheer Will and strength of Faith, these Crusaders battle to stay the spread of Evil. They are more than willing to lay down their very lives if it just means that they can finally banish the forces of Hell from Sanctuary.
Yet some wonder if they have come to late...
Crusader Skills
Anoint weapon: Similar the old sorceress enchant skill, this skill imbues the weapons of the Crusader or his allies with arcane energy, enhancing their damage
Sacrifice: Throwing himself into the fray, the Crusader places himself a great risk to save his allies, turning aside blade and missile. The Crusader loses a portion of his health and he and his allies gain a damage reducing shield.
Heaven's Wrath: Raising his weapon to the sky the Crusader calls upon aid from the Heavens, then drawing upon his own reserves, he unleashes a blast of Holy fire at his foe. This knocks them back and damages them, buying time for the Crusader and his allies.
Demonologist:
-This gives D3 a dark character, since the Necromancer is likely to be a NPC.
Demonologist's are those few scholars and mages willing to risk their own souls to study demons. Due to the number of demonic entities now found in Sanctuary, this is a rather easy task. Some are cultists who realized the error of their ways, some are mages just trying to save their lands.
These delvers into the Dark Arts are often shunned or outright killed when they are discovered. However, Demonologists don't desire to use their knowledge to gain personal power. Instead, they seek to rid the world of demonic influence altogether. Due to the myriad of dangers involved in the task they have laid before themselves and the knowledge they must posses, Demonologist must keep a close eye on thier own kind.
Demonologists are vastly intelligent and posses and incredible will. They must to resist malign influence. Their work leaves them physically and mentally strained, and they face incredibly short life expectancies. While their methods may be questionable, thier goals are pure. They are, perhaps, the only hope.
Demonologist Skills:
Life Leech: Drains the life from surrounding enemies and heals the Demonologist.
Banishment: A skill with high mana cost. It deals massive damage to demons and the undead, if not destroying them completely, banishing them forever.
Soul-Blaze: The very essence of the Demonologist's enemies burns with unholy power.
Any suggestions?

(In response to a question about the woman in the D3 cinematic and why she was clutching her heart)...
Quote from "Shiniku" »
Meh, I really doubt she can 'sense evil' or whatever. She was probably just excited about a shoe sale or something, coincidentally when evil was about.
You know you might have a point there skully. I mean if the environments are as interactive as they claim than surely a class like that could work you know? I mean like transmute rocks into armor, trees and plants into potions, yea that could work and wouldn't be too complicated.
I hope they bring back all the classes, from D1, D2 and LoD. That's what? 10?
The only problem is some class can't have male/female version.
Let see....
Warrior = male and female
Paladin = male and female
Sorcerer/Sorceress = male/female
Barbarian = male and female
Rogue = female bow user.
Amazon = female spear user.
Possible male version of the Amazon = the Act 2 merc.
Necromancer = male and female
Druid = male and female
Assassin = female, and male?
Witch Doctor = male and female
That idea about combining the necro and druid into one character is the best thing I've heard so far. Everyone just says whats in D2 and insert witch doctor into the necro's spot, there isn't any creativity in the classes. I'd like to hear what we want in the game not the 5 from D2 with different names, plus i like hearing what skills people come up with, its better than "Uhh yeah barb, rogue, mage, witch doctor, pally thats what I think"
What about what you've come up with since 2001?

WHERE THE HELL, would a NINJA fit in to Diablo Lore at all!?
Has there ever been talk of Ninjas in the books or anywhere in the original games?
I don't believe so O_O?
Yeah they did that already...
Warcraft 3, Blademaster and Windwalk...
Looking for members of the old DarkKillers Paladin clan...
And it wouldn't be bad if they changed it up and used a stealth in D3.
And no WC3 was definitely not the origin of short stealth in games...
Barbarian
Witch Doctor
Rogue (probably have ranged included here also)
Spellcaster of some sort
No clue what the last one will be.
Barb
Rogue
Sorcerer
Witch Doctor
