I do not know if that is Diablo but demons that are slain are put into some sort of dark void if i remember correctly from the books and the Worldstone being destroyed could easily make the demons that have been "killed" able to come back. And in the games weve only seen Diablo who was formed by corrupting a human body and soul. This time you see Diablo as is was in The Burning Hells. The raw, not watered down by a human body's version.
From the trailer, I think the demon that appeared was Balial. Balial is a prince of hell who controls 80 legions of demons. Controls the Northern Reaches of Hell and has brother princes. Other princes are Olias, Asmonday and Vassago.
In the SinWar trilogy Diablo took many diffrent forms never really showing his true self. So this could finally be his true final form. idk lesser demon 3 together idc as long as i get to clean the floor with him in the game

You know, that demon that we assume is Diablo might actually be Belial or Azmodan.
A while ago I suggested on these forums that Belial should have two (or more) heads, because he is the Lord of Lies. I said that each head should say something different, so you never know which head is lying and which isn't.
This demon seems to have three heads (or at least three mouths), so it might be Belial.
Then again, it could just be an upgraded version of Diablo, as is assumed.
Or, the three heads could be a combination of the Three Prime Evils, as someone else theorised a while ago.
But nah, I actually like the artwork for the demon. Somehow, this actually instilled fear into me, while his other versions haven't.
I'm sorry but if you can't believe that's Diablo in the year 2008 in the world of better graphics I'm not sure what's wrong with you.
That look most certainly is wicked and I'm loving it, that IS Diablo right there my friend.

Also just think about it why would they show only one lesser evil and @ the end of the trailer of all things.
I don't think the demon is Diablo. Didn't Diablo die on Act IV? I think the demon is Balial. The demon who controls hell. The Lord of Lies and Guilt :D.
I only see 1 head, with an additional mouth on each shoulder. When I first watched the cinematic trailer the first thing I associated that demon with was Mephisto, and I stick by that. To me, that's just what I'd imagine Mephistos true form to look like.
Besides, Meph is the Lord of Hatred, and that demon looked pretty pissed

I think Blizzard are going to use these demons to be the bosses.
If you guys don't think these will be the demons of Diablo 3, then post the ones you think is.
By the way... who wants to ride on the Nubtrain??
Ok, first of all, it's Belial, not Balial. Second of all, your info is on the Hebrew version of Belial, which is different from the Diablo version of Belial. The Diablo version of Belial is in the midst of a war over hell with his brother, Azmodan, which might be considered close to Asmonday, but as of this time, there is no Olias or Vassago. The two Belials might be loosely related, but don't use that wikipedia article as a source. This is a fictional universe which has very distinct differences from ours. Read actual Diablo lore and make your decisions on that.

god, he CANT die, prime evils cant he's died once and he died again and he WILL be back, the only thing that can be killed is their mortal bodies, since when they are are vanguished they are sent back to Hell's deepest pits

Mephisto is not red-colored (well we didnt actually see his "true" form" like diablo's) so my guess is it's diablo that's back and is more powerful than ever. And you also said he looked pretty pissed, duh what demon cant roar and look like he's about to go on a mad rampage.

Belial, Azmodan....cool
now its balial, asmonday and also olias and vassago.......
I'm 99% you are wrong, they wouldn't make lesser evils the final bosses in the game.
That's like playing jeopardy on crack.

To easy =P
There is actually 7 lesser evils in all, just seems those 2 stand out more so.

Why can't it spawn a new and even more powerful evil since the world stone was destoried?
Could that be the supposive "three headed" demon?

Totally agree with you on this!!!!
