We all know Tyrael worked for years to prevent earth from being over ran by evil. Why would he change now. Rather than focus on why he COULD be, let's focus on why he isn't/won't be.
D3 takes place 20 years after the world stone event, if Tyrael was corrupted what's taken him so long to assault a weakened earth?
I think in those 20 years Tyrael has been working AGAINST demonic entities to keep Sanctuary safe.
What are some other things that make you believe Tyrael is still good and wouldn't switch sides?
I personally think that as he destroyed the worldstone (corrupted) either a shard of it struck his body or the influence of what opened after the destruction of the world stone corrupted his soul. For him to make an appearance after 20 years is something to be expected as if you remember...the end of lod...he was trapped within the worldstone chamber as you fled.
But just to stay on topic to your thread.
Yes, he did help us for the entire diablo 2 series (d2 and lod) Tyreal did help us throughout the game to destroy evil...but did he do it just so he can crush the very thing that kept the sanctuary apart from hell? (worldstone locked out hell from spilling forwardth to the mortal realm)

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
I think Tyrael may have been cast out of heaven for destroying the Worldstone and playing in mortal affairs too much, but I don't think he'll be an enemy. He may even be captured and held hostage somewhere, or being used as a tool for them to gain power somehow.

I find this to be the most likely case.
Tyreal has always been the shield over the mortal plane. Thats why he is referred to as an Archangel. He's always had a fascination with humans.
He was directly ordered not to aid the hero's in D2, not to actually take any action, no matter what happens. Destroying the World Stone was a direct violation.
It may even be possible that as punishment for what he did, he may have been turned into a human himself
