But I think it's more for the looks, rather than abilities. I hope.
I almost used Gattsu from Berserk as my character.

As long as we keep massive physically-impossible-to-wield swords out of our RP, I'm down with Anime.
I've gotta say, massive swords is what makes me loathe anime.

You would be too if your father figure sold you to a fellow mercenary whom homosexually raped you, you lost an eye, cut your own arm in half, watched your girlfriend get raped before your eyes, watched all your friends die. You have monsters constantly trying to kill you, and every time they show up this weirdo branded mar kon you bleeds.

Gattsu is the one of the one people with insanely large swords I can stand. Mostly because he doesn't look out of place holding it.
Just about fight time again.

What you wrote was good Zhar, but not exactly fitting with what was going on, since it doesn't actually detract from the story so much, I'll leave it in.
Next time though, check with the people running the RP before you go off and do other things.

I was under the assumption that some of you were going for the outpost, and the rest of us were waiting near the front gate?
At least that's what I gathered from your planning, might have to re-read that.
You said something about people volunteering to take the outpost, and a couple people did so, so I assumed that the rest of us were doing something else.
Oh well.

"I will lead the small group that enters through the western gate." Buliwyf said. "We must make it to the north gate at all costs."
"Lento will lead the main force in the assault of the north gate." he said. "Ride in when i blow this horn, signalling you to attack."
Something along those lines may have been what threw me off....

We were suppose to all be attacking the outpost to get the disguises for the people who attack the west gate.
the outpost and Riddia town are two different places. We haven't got to Riddia (where we will attack from two different sides) yet.
I said stuff about volunteering to attack the west gate, not the outpost, lol.

Hey guys sorry for lack of posts, I have been really busy with football and haven't had time to write a post that would contribute well to the story. I will be posting again tonight
sorry
It's all good Zhar and Donsro, just make sure you keep up with the posts. If you are confused you can ask in here.
It's usually easier to explain things in here since i can, as this thread implies, break character, and actually explain what's going on.
As of right now though, we are moving to the river, some of us will cross it and head down it, to get to the west gate, and some of us will follow the road to the north gate and wait for the signal from the people attacking the west gate.
Who makes up this main force anyways?
Basically everyone who didn't say they wanted to attack the west gate. I can't take everyone with me when I assault the west gate.

Okay, so I'm confused now. I haven't posted in a bit because I wasn't sure where we were supposed to be (like Donsro, I thought we were splitting up and going to our positions, not all going to get disguises for the few). Now that that's cleared up, though, what the heck am I supposed to be doing after this outpost scenario is over? I tried to ask in the story thread a week or two ago to make it in-character but I never got a reply.
You're right we didn't all have to go to the small outpost, I figured everyone would want to because you'd get to fight something. Everyone loves fighting stuff right?
"Well, stealth has never been my forte, I would prefer a position in the woods beyond the west gate, I believe."
Looks to me like you are with the group that comes in from the West, you're just not one of the people who get the Riddians to open the gate.
I took a quick look through the story thread, I didn't dismiss your idea, nor did I exactly agree with it either, but as I didn't disagree with it, I assumed you were still going with that idea. Your part of the west group.

Zhar, please cut back of the jumping to conclusions.
I intentionally ended my post the way I did to give Jetrall an oppurtunity to chime in with a post, and resume DMing (Dungeon Master or rather take over control again) of the thread. I was kind of just leading it in his absence.

Jetrall has already figured out my entrance as of August 20th. So don't worry about me, I'm waiting patiently.

Good idea introducing some forest patrols into the mix, was getting boring for us folk waiting on the outpost crowd :D.
Word of advice though, Jamis didn't fall in battle, he died in bed. Gonna wait till after our battle till I react to that.

My bad lol.
