I really like it man, finally we've got a pure arcane character !!
However, that last part about the priest of Rathma seemed somewhat hastily slapped together.
It didn't seem to tie in much with the story, it more or less felt like you added that part simply to let your character summon golems.
Other than that, you did a great job man :D.

Haha, no doubt ^^.
Was pretty hard staying creative with mine too, actually had to spend the better part of a week going back and tweaking bits and peices of my character.
But anyways, about the whole necromancer storyline, perhaps make it less... "He came and was taught how to summon golems, then randomly left". As I said before, just seems somewhat hastily added to allow the summoning of golems.
I'm sure you could make an interesting story out of it though, if you want to bounce ideas off me, go for it :D.
I'll probably chime in with some as well, if you're willing to consider them.

Haha, not only that, but now you're not the only one with violet eyes, too.
If only you had posted it like.. a day earlier :(.
And speaking of which, Turmobil I like what you did with your character.
May seem somewhat overpowered though... dunno about maintaining several golems at once.
There is also a lot of character overlap, wizard and necro.
I dunno, I'd ask Jetrall to check it out if I were you.

Lol, could always just go with normal eye colours, like the rest of us ^^.
Dunno why people have such an aversion of normal eye colours in RP's, people always seem to want to make some badass colour for their eyes.
In some cases it's understandable though..

Ah, true lol.
I actually liked how you stated that he had no skill in the elemental magics, but was very competant in the arcane magics.
Made him feel more vulnerable and human :D.
Arcane also seems to be possibly the most versatile of all the magic types, since it's basically pure energy and force.

It will probably play more like turn based, as people are in different time zones, and can really only post when they are on. And this may not always be at the same time as other players.
If More than 2 or say three people are on and you want to have a conversation in the thread you could do a joint post, or trade off posts. I post, then you post, then me again, then you'd post next, then it would be mine turn again.
I do not think it would be so much everyone get a turn. I dont mind those that aren't as experienced posting a little less than those that are more experienced. So long as people are posting.
It might go like say this for a group of 4 players;
Player 1
Palyer 2
Player 1
Player 2
Player 3
Player 1
Player 4
Player 1
Player 3
Player 2
Player 1
Player 4
While players 1 and 2 posted more, it is important to note that in the above example everyone of the four players posted. Player 1 would probably be the person running it, and player 2 would probably be a person with a bit of experience is this sort of thing, while players 3 and 4 would be people who either have little or no experience in this sort of thing.
It is also important to note that there is no real set order in regard to who posted. Other than the fact that no one double posted. Double posting is generally discouraged and should be avoided if possible. This shouldn't really affect most people other than those running it, as often they may have to post more than once in a row to further advance the story. But as far as regular players go, double posting is frowned upon.

Sorry but I am a little confused when you say the least experienced will probably post the least. I have no experience with an rp forum but I plan on posting very often (that's why I was hoping to make two characters so I had more to write about). I guess I am confused on what's expected. Are we expected to help further the story line? Or leave our post open ended so someon else can respond? Or just merely play in the story given to us thus far?

Just added another 2 chunks of writing to my character. Decided that he needed a reason for his combat skills aside from childhood bullying :/.
It's like a fucking novel now, may even consider slapping this into the fan fiction section if I ever make it long/good enough :D.
Anywho, read it if you have the time, any feedback would be welcome ^^.

More often than not, a person who has less experience in this sort of thing will post less. This is only initially, as they haven't quite come to grips with how people actually write posts in RP threads. As the thread/s progresses they will post more as they know what's going on a little bit better.
You are somewhat expected to progress the story, but you are kind of limited in what you can do, you can't run off and go fight a dragon for example. Well you probably could, but it wouldn't be that good of an idea as the main story might progress along without you.
A little open endedness doesn't hurt. And neither does forcing a conversation with another player.

I have one question. When we fight an enemy, how will it work out? Because someone could say "___ uses x spell and such-and-such-a-monster dies", but then that in itself would be godmodding. Not in the sense that you're controlling other people, but that you're controlling someone that isn't yourself (and not just controlling, but making them die). So would we leave that to the mods of the RP (Eflen and Jet) to say when they die, and how they die? And in another case, lets say (for example) we get overrun by a large army of skeletons, so we all have to individually fight hordes of them, then we're allowed to say "____ slashes his way through countless zombies, killing them without a drop of regret or remorse for them"?

You can't say "with one mighty slash, Jetrall slew the great dragon before anyone else had a chance to hit it".
Also, sorry that we're a little behind schedule. RP should be starting tonight/tomorrow ish. (I've been busier than expected lately).
EDIT: Scratch that, story thread is up: http://diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?p=470742#post470742
Oh well, I'll be back in 4 days or so, so I won't miss out on much hopefully.
Very nice story so far though, I'll see if I can muster up a post while I'm still here.
Huzzah, got my first post in.
