I think WOW is definitly not worth its price and I dont understand why anyone would play it with that large of a P2P price for that crappy of a game Diablo and Starcraft are much much better.
it is definitely worth its price for many reasons mentioned before in many threads.
check the forums before reposting here to at least read the previous talks about it and get an idea about how the game is, and how it feels to the players that actually played it.
i don't like it, it's a little to complex, and my PC sucks, so is really slow
dont really have the time to wait for my guy to run and attack w/e it is im attacking. ill stick with Warcrfat 3, Starcraft, and Diablo 2, then when D3 comes out, ill get a new better pc
and maybe give WoW a chance i agree with the pricing though, i dont wanna pay to play a game. itd be coo lwith a single player mode maybe.
It use to be worth it then they released BC which in my opinion blew tauren smoked butt holes. Maybe lich kin-wait.. lich king wont fix it... level 55 gnome deathknights *facepalm*
I LOOVE GNOMES! Love my gnome 70 prot warrior but.. *facepalm* ...deathknights...
It's absolutely amazing ever since BC especially! Before BC, the PvP system wasn't as good as it is now unless you play 70 hours a week, and there weren't alot of smaller instances or rewards from them if you were a raider, nor was there really a good way to make money (other than getting that "lucky drop"). I love what they've done with BC and am confident that they will continue to improve in the future with Wrath of the Lich King and beyond. Great game!
Wow isnt that great in terms of storytelling, but I think the gameplay is absolutely amazing theres nothing better than upgrading a seemingly endless slew of skills and abilities and professions. And finding better armor and junk... its a great game when it comes to character building, other than that its just mindless garbage. I hope they take a lot of the character building aspects of WoW and put it into Diablo 3s amazing gameplay

-My Position on Black Metal: "So you know those annoying kids you see running around listening to crap radio rock bands wearing tripp jeans and shopping at hot topic? Well, Black Metal is just the next big thing... have fun with your trends, I'm gonna stay metal"
I played WoW for about 2-3 days got my paladin to level 7 then my friends started telling me about this job thing on there. I don't know what it is honestly because I didn't play it long enough but the sound of it turned me off. In a game I want my job to be killing things and taking what they carry. Diablo 2 really kicked ass at being able to do that. I have played Diablo since way back and continue to play still. I gave up on WoW partly because the job thing and partly because I had to pay more money to continue to play after the retail price. I own it. I should be able to play it and if I don't want to pay to play at least let me take on the world by myself which you can't do. So overall my feelings towards WoW are "if it suits your style, more power to ya'." I'll stick with D2 until D3 comes out. Or just play GTA:4 when I get bored of slaying demons.

The blind mind's eye replies with a sigh and a tear of contempt for those who see the world as it truly is.

Job thing...? You mean professions? Like mining and herbalism? You don't have to do them... it's completely optional... no offense but that's a really dumb reason to quit a game... you learn how to mine, and then if you see a mineral node in your travels, you mine it... I don't see how that's a turn-off enough to make someone quit??? And I don't see how it gets in the way of killing things...???
if he wanted to kill things he definitely chose the wrong class
Paladin in WoW can work very well as a main healer, he can be an excellent backup healer and a very decent (up to great tank depending on player skill) but as a damage dealing class he's way behind.
Shoulda tried mage, rogue, warlock or hunter for that. Maybe shaman/warrior or druid (on the dps specs) too, but not paladin.
There are another 10+ million people who dis-like the game. Well, more than that.
thats not accurate. of the gaming population as we know it, the majority that has played WoW did in fact like it. I dont think any other game managed to have that many active subscriptions so far.
gameplay wise its the best MMORPG that has been released so far and definitely the most popular. There are reasons to dislike it but its either because of personal taste or cheapness.
what you said doesnt happen that often on my server at least. Aggressive players cant do anything on a PvE server. On a PvP on the other hand, you're looking for it (there's barely PvP battles on grinding spots, though).
People speaking 1337 is random and has more to do with the people your server has gathered.
the gold sellers have been troubling but Blizzards efforts werent in vein and the spam (at least) has been reduced significantly over the last couple months.
Its true that those with most time to spend will eventually get more back from the game but isnt like that in any MMORPG? And raiding (which requires most time) is what feels most rewarding in the end (both experience and loot wise).
Tried the trial and could quickly see it's a "who's got the most time to waste online w1ns" game. Gold sellers seem everywhere and I kept getting smack talked by people who insisted on speaking 1337 all the time. I didn't find it particularly deep (maybe I just didn't hang round enough), but plenty appear to enjoy it... but then loads eat at McDonalds and I wouldn't call that high quality cuisine.
If you can stand the spam and the occasional overly aggressive players then yeah it might be diverting, but I play eve online instead heh.
Wow what server were you playing on...? I have not once run into someone who was "aggressive" or a "smack talker" in my 2000 hours of playing... Cenarius server here.
I don't like WoW, I played it for a month or so and got extremely bored, that's even playing with a few friends in real life, and many friends at high levels that could help out and give advice.
Still was just about no fun.
A major bore of a game, I need more fast action like Diablo
As for me; I tried WoW, I even played the game for a year before giving up on it, and around 6 months into it, I stopped my account subscription for the remainder of 6th grade summer vacation. Once I finally decided to shut my account down; it was for balance reasons.
Too many critical issues remaining in the game for too long a time!
WoW was alot of fun. I started my addiction during christmas of 05 after being an original beta tester. (The game didnt feel complete to me, and it was going live)
Anyways, I got on a newly formed server, so everything was even across all the players. I got into a guild that eventually became a raiding guild around lvl 55ish. We had lots of sucesses, while not being the server first on alot, we did lead the alliance progress once we got into Naxx. (MC/BWL/AQ to Emps on weekly farm status) 9 bosses into it BC came out, and pretty much ruined the game for us.
Kara as a 10 man split the guild, and the alliance server population was only about 250 players strong. Breaking point came when we trying to down Magtheridon for the thirs time, and we had people leave the raid becasue they wanted to do Serpentshire Caverns instead. We pretty much dissolved. People who still wanted to play went to more populated servers, and from what I hear, they were doing amazing, leading DPS/Heal meters their first days there.
But WoW is raiding once you have all the normal dungons done. Raiding requires a daily commitment. PvP was/is an afterthought, and true serious PvP is even almost as big a commitment as raiding, you just need less people.
As for how I finally left, I had to go for an internship for a month over the summer. I didnt want to server transfer and start a new guild that I knew I couldn't commit to, so I didnt do anything. When I came back, I only logged in one other time to show somone else my characters. My account expired, and I walked away cold turkey.
Of course it is WoW and my characters are still there, and if WotLK is anything like BC, all those great epics people spent countless hours to get will be replaced by blues and greens before they hit lvl 75. Who knows, I might go back as a casual to experence the scenerey, but ill never be a raider again.
Was WoW a great game? Yea, it is. Everyone should at least try the 10-day trial. Just be warned that despite the graphics( i personally love them), the game is incredibly addicting, and you have to have restraint, or exceptional time management skills (and an extreemly accepting wife ;)) to be able to play and have a life outside of the game.

Go play warcraft, warcraft 2, warcraft 3, WoW, and then BC and tell me it doesnt have a good story line.
Also, i agree its not worth its price, thats why i play private servers. ^.^
Go away 10 year old.:spam::D

I do not mean an unnatural calmness.
