I like the lattice border type thing, but I think it's too Celtic-looking, and not Gothic enough. That and maybe a little too boxy. But I like the grey's and silver's, that seems more Diablo-esque.
It is where the term X Star General is derived. Though generally speaking you cannot get more than a 5 Star General.
Unless your talking about Futurama, then you get up to at least 25 Star. Zap Brannigan is a 25 Star General.
Not gonna do the Face-In-The-Orb thing, but will work on Diablo-ing it up.
YOu could have both hold the name. That is to say one either side. I think the Angel and Demon in Diablo II are in perfect posistion for that.
Or one hold name, one holds rank. Name the rank one would be too small.
How about somthing like the sig I just made? Ill probably do another version. Too small.
Makes a nice border it does. and yes your text is too small. However as a concept for a guild signature, it is a very good attempt. simple yet also detailed.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
"You are like a rose in a great rose field. Each rose is so beautiful to me. But if one dies... I can still look at many other roses..." God of Darkness.

It is rather celtic. makes me think of those grave stones, you know the ones with the cross in a circle. Like I said, a very good attempt. but I think something more overtly gothic would suit best.

If it looks good then I'd put it in my signature. Iono if it would fit though... I dont want a really big signature
Would be awesome if we could display rank and clan etc, next to the avatar (probably was mentioned in that thread with the possible future diablo3.com ideas)

It was suggested that some sort of banner or badge denote guild membership, but not rank within said guild.

This is Diablo right so why not the Pentagram? it's a "Star"
Or is it the other way round in Diablo? single point at the top? I think it's single point at the top. It is with the flame Pentagrams in the game, such as in areas like the Forgotten Tower in Act I.
Oh and for funzies here's a neat little animated one.

Great! I will be glad to use one. If you give me one.

Well assuming that we are a guild that fights for good, it may be more apropriate to use crosses.
The images on page two work just as good.

well what i have learned in my years in learning wiccan and witchcraft is that the pointed down pentagram symbolises hell. and the pointed up means heaven. so if we have a pointed up one it would mean good instead of evil.
i keeped the animated pic in there because its awsomly bad ass.:D

I know, but other people wont. Most people see a pentagram like that and say "Blasphemy its the work of the devil".
well that could be. but i just thought of a saying in my head. dont know if it will make sense but here it is.
"you need to learn the side of evil, before you can learn its weakness and destroy it."
Fuck you, I'm a dragon.
