Normally a game's price goes down a few dollars after a year or two, but I find it insane that Diablo II, and Diablo II LOD are the same price as they were 7-10 years ago..
I could be wrong, but I remember that I bought Diablo II for $20, and then 2-3 years later I bought LOD for another $20.
I went to best buy, and I found the individual games for the same price!!!
On the other hand, there are reputable website that you can go to, to buy a
c-d key for $5, and download the game from blizzard' website.
I just find it insane that they still charge that price for it. (The battle chest it now $40??)

Over the years, for most games, demand wanes. The demand for Diablo 2 has not waned and, with Diablo 3 coming out, people are buying Diablo 2 more, thus bringing up demand even more.
once i found LOD at the store Target for $8.99, i bought 3 and went about my merry way, This was prob 2.5 years ago when i was playing d2 again heavily
Thats funny, ida done the same thing probably. I dont know why that is, technically while the game is still being produced the price can increase and decrease all they want it to except that its illegal to charge more that the original release price untill after its production stops.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
In about 2004, my house keeper threw my Diablo1, II, and LOD Boxes away!!! I kept the c-d's and the keys in a c-d book, but it still pissed me off since I keep most of the boxes for my games
Also, whenever I want a friend to try the game, they think I'm weird because they look at the graphics, and then laugh at me. I tell them, give me 5$, and buy them a c-d key from that website (which I can't remember)
But the strange thing about "supply & demand", is that Diablo II, and LOD has been in stores every month since it was released. One example is before June 2008, when D3 was announced, the price was the same so it isn't exactly supply and demand. Unless people have been consistently buying DII over the years???

You're talking about a price strategy called "price skimming". Remember when the Iphone used to cost around $800 0r whatever. What companies tend to do is sell at a ridiculous premium, wait for people to stop buying, then lower the price for those who are price sensitive. This tends to be the approach of most gaming companies, but I think Blizzard used a penetration strategy and to capture a large market share and keep it that way. IMO, thats why we haven't witnessed a decrease in price...

Or maybe they are just greedy. o.O
Bah! Diablo II sells at this price, so obviously Blizzard will offer it at the same rate. Only makes sense, why sell a product for less than you can?
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Because they arent jerks and the relaize fanbase and satisfaction is a big importaqnt thing.
What? Since when is a company considered to be jerks for charging full price for their products? It's an acceptable market price for games. A game sells for less as it gets older because people don't want it anymore. It's not an act of charity when prices are lowered, it's just wha they have to do to sell. Diablo doesn't suffer from this.

Well, I'm taking my economics class next semester..so i'll get back at you..lol
Also, a good computer game hasn't sold for $20 in a long time. Most of the games sell for $40-$50.
I normally buy console games, and those are about $60.

umm your idead of full price is whatever they can pull it for. It decreases because they actually make more money that way while making customer and consumer alike happy.
