Speaking of buying pixels.. I quit TERA over their cash shop. Their swimsuit "event" just drove the stake in it for me. Basically the event was:

Option 1) Run around in 7 of the worlds zones, looking for treasure chests along with the rest of the server, hoping RNG would let a chest spawn infront of you. Then you faced RNG when opening the chest to see if there was a swimsuit in it. (The chests I did manage to find contained useless Resurrection scrolls (cheap to purchase from vendors.. -_-) Then another delicious layer of RNG if the swimsuit was for your race. All of this for a temporary 30 day costume.

Option 2) Pay $10 (real money) for one permanent swimsuit.

That's a pretty tough decision... all that annoyance over a temp suit or $10 for a permanent suit. I chose neither.

It also made me sick to see people running around on the $25 horse.

I just finished psychonauts, awesome game, definitely one of the most original games I played

I started playing Magic: The Gathering on Saturday and chose to play Black. I was playing again yesterday, and decided to buy more. I bought the 2013 Fat Pack and I ended up pulling the Black Planeswalker. Fuck yeah!

Perseid meteor shower was appearing in Las Vegas's the north east skies but unfortunately my deck faces south, none the less I gave it a go. Out of 2223 shots I captured 2 meteors which I had a laugh about (well I wasn't planning on camping outside overnight for this when my deck is 5 steps from my bed); still the two videos are pretty cool.

@Vegas: That's amazing! I remember the first shooting star I saw, In fact it was on New Years Eve last year! I went ballistic because I was pretty drunk, and I was standing amongst 3 other people and none of them saw it. I may have been drunk but I knew what I saw!

More randomness! Just discovered that Square-Enix released a PC version of FF VII. 9.99 for direct download, and they added online achievements and profiles. So excited!

There is some incredible talent out there but it seems like once again, like we had to in the 80's you have to go hunting for it. The stuff the music moguls are pushing on us now is just the similar sounding bovine they can count on to sell a predictable number of releases from. So bland, so boring, so want to gouge my ears out after 5 minutes of it on the radio.

• Can't sing? No problem, just yell it it at the same fervid pitch for the whole song.
• Lyrics suck? No problem, just yell it it at the same fervid pitch for the whole song. Also just repeat the same banal cliches in every song like God Smack does, now go away!
• Don't sound original enough? No problem neither do the Foo Fighters, or Rise Against, or Nickleback, or any number of other acts being over played today.
• Not extreme or alternative enough? No worries all the extreme and alternative radio stations are playing fluffy fluff sounds from bands like Fun and just calling it extreme alternative.

If 3 or 4 acts with the talent of Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Queen, AC/DC, etc. in that caliber hit the scene and got noticed, you could kiss all these poser acts goodbye over night. Look at Nirvana, they pretty much ended Loverboy's career over night. I so wish for another moment like that again, we seriously need to flush the crap out.

Damn it man, you pay the bills and take care of the children, you damn well deserve a game for a few hours of weekend play.

So i came back to playing D3 for a bit. Did a full run of act 2 inferno with my barb, filled my inventory three times with rares adn found one legendary staff "The Tormentor". Only like two or three of the rares were mediocre though, which is not that bad. I really like this game cuz if you do full act runs you are almost guaranteed some good drops. After a few patches this game will become even more awesome.

Playing some Hon and bfbc2 with friends is lots of fun too.
