Find New Order classics repeatedly through movies like American Psycho opening, the bar threatening scene. Hot Tub Time Machine, when everything is so serious all a sudden, and the want to go home is so engaging. Both times I have my heart quicken during the scenes. It's not a great way to find 80s music, but I do enjoy my finds nevertheless. I wiki them, learned they changed through Punk, Goth, Electronic. I made a quick read on many of my favorite bands, and many Punk bands transition into gothic/electronics. Some say earliest trace back to Joy Division, I presented a report on this for one of my finals.
Dude, if you want to correct someone else's spelling, be sure to be right. Now you made yourself look like a total fool by being wrong .
Recognization is an another, equally correct, way to spell recognition. Rare these days because they're pronounced the same so the distinction is seen only in written text.
Oxford English Dictionary
recognization, n Now rare (chiefly U.S.)
= RECOGNITION n. (in various senses).
Me correcting you, would have read: It's written recognition.
Also, I did check 'recognization' before typing my post. Have a guess at what I meant now. Total fool? Thanks dear.
You needn't be so touchy really.
Just bought the album. Godamn the Cudder goes so hard.

I'm really stuck on video game music lately. Lots of Fallout, Portal, even Diablo music. It's just the best when you're in a nice brooding mood or when it's late and you feel like writing or something.
Getting ready for the summer. This song was played at my 7th grade graduation and, being myself, I felt really touched by how the song sounded and the vibe of the assembly really made me cherish the summer I was being given. Summers in Washington, especially Auburn, are great. This song brings me back to camping days, times when I wasn't pressed with change at every turn, and just when I didn't have to go home and feel bad because of my grades and stuff. Just... carefree. Invincible.
And Sims 2.
Everything off Nimrod is really good.

Yesterday I rewatched one of my recent thriller finds, and the very cult classic, Night of The Demons, and there's this scene where the goth girl (starring Amelia Kinkade) went on this trance of demonic dances, it was so good for the act of it, she was acting the role she will be planned for, for the entire set of the Night of The Demons series. And this is the goth song she was dancing to after she got a weird kiss from her hot-friend.
It occurs to me sometimes in this thread no one is listening to what others are talking about. They only want others to pay attention to what THEY'RE listening to.

I usually listen to every song posted here and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.
I like the song from 'Boards of Canada' that you posted best.
Survive from Circa that Az posted.
Cudi Zone from Kid Cudi that Reptar posted.
Eighties from Killing Joke Don posted.
And plenty of others really.
I rarely post my thoughts however. I give a +rep if I remember.
But now I'll make sure to comment...
It usually depends on my intentions when I enter the thread that determines if I actually listen to the music or not. Sometimes, I want to discover, so I listen. Sometimes I just want to post a song that I think you guys would like.
It's not like I have to listen. There are some songs that were posted that I didn't really like, so I just stopped listening. Sometimes I "judge a book by it's cover", but that's my personal choice and, while I don't feel guilty for it, I don't really care because I'm sure people have done the same when they've looked at my videos.

Nice song, Don. Chorus is really good, but the rest of the song has so many different elements that lend itself to that because, in my opinion, it sounds restrained in a way then the chorus lets it break free. Cool stuff.

I can relate to that. I've gotten really used to the kind of music you're into so I usually skip past your posts. A few other songs from people I've been genuinely like, "Wow, I gotta check these guys out more."
Love Bob Marley, wasn't too impressed with Tingsek. I dunno, it just didn't grab hold of me right off the bat like most songs do. Wasn't too impressed with Gothminister either. Awfully repetitive and, honestly, a little gimmicky. Not that I'm not a fan of gimmicks (listen to Cradle of Filth), but the song just felt like typical Goth metal with too much Power metal tucked in there.
