Hey
So I moved into an apartment for University.
It doesn't have a landline so I decided to pick up my first cellphone at the age of 21
I decided to go with Koodo and got a $20/month plan.
I got a LG optimus I think. Pretty sure it has a 600 mhz processor which is kind of weak. It was "free" though. Cost me $75 on my tab.
What I'm wondering is:
Are there are intense games on the android market that would actually use the power of a better phone? I know the apple store has infinity blade which looks badass and would require an iphone 4 to play smoothly.
Think there will be more/any games on the android market that would make a better phone a worthy purchase?
I could get a Nexus S for $200 more than my current phone. Think it has a 1.3 ghz processor and 512 ram. 16g of storage with no expansion slot.
ORRRRRRR
My other option is going to bell and buying a Samsung Galaxy 2 for $450 more than my current phone and putting my Koodo chip in it. It has a 1.0 ghz dual core processor, 1g ram, 32-64g of storage and some other fancy stuff.
Anyone have any suggestions or opinions? Would it be worth it to get one of the better phones? Does putting my koodo chip inside a no contract phone work well? I don't want to pay any more than $20 a month. I like minimal features. Unlimited calling after 7pm and 100 minutes 50 texts works great for my purposes.
Note: I probably won't be getting a new nintendo handheld. Unless the zelda/mario/firstparty titles are just way too good to pass up.
/edit: Also I forgot. The battery and resolution and camera and everything is way better on the other phones too
I have a HTC Wildfire with a 500-ish MHz processor and games such as Angry birds and Fruit ninja are pretty much unplayable. It's the old version Wildfire though so don't know if you can actually compare it to current date processors, but if you want to play those games and more demanding stuff I think you'll need more than the 600 mhz one.
