Notice all of that is their new stuff?
I'm talking about their old stuff, in which damn near every song (except for a few of course, the slower songs) sounded the same as the last.

Yes, most of their earlier songs have the same setup. But if you were selling a shit ton of albums would you change? Even though they did later on.
First of all Mephisto, do you ever have a penis not up your ass? If you don't like something then don't post in the thread and start dissing other people that do like whatever it is.
And Linkin Parks first albums, all the way up to this album, were awesome(except for a few songs). They are not a meatl band, they are just rock.
Do any of you understand music? It isn't about how it sounds, it's what it means to yourself, not anyone else
I'm sorry, but I seem to have mistaken this board for a place where you can say what you think, without hurting someone's feelings. I don't like Linking Park, they're not Metal, they're don't make good music. I didn't insult anyone, I didn't impose my opinion, I simply stated it. If I don't like something, I WILL say that I don't like it, and there's literally nothing you can do about that fact.

Lol@making music to gain money. You do music because you love it, and you don't care about the money. That's what most Metal bands are about.
LOL@Lady Gaga going like "I'm a Metalhead, I just went into pop because I wanted to be original"

Actually, most mainstream would dis-agree about doing music because you love it. This is an opinion - some people take jobs for money, while others take them because they like them. Metal can definitely be considered a job, so with that said, some will do it for easy money, some will do it for the love.
Metal though is thankfully about that: the love for the music. If metal bands wanted to sell and become rich, they would not being playing metal in the first place.
Actually Linkin Park are coming to Israel and i think ill be going. They give a pretty good live show. And besides, Hybrid Theory and Meteora are good albums. And i think its good that they changed since then, it just shows that they are a creative band that tries to evolve into new types of sound. According to the Rolling stone magazines reviewers, if a band releases an album and it is similar in style to the previous, it means that it failed. They see change as a good thing. And seriously, change is a good thing in music. I dont like to judge music just because it falls under a certain genre.
Yes, but change for the sake of change is never a good thing, and they failed to realize what was good about some of their songs, and that's why they fail.

I dont think they changed jsut because of the sake of it. I think they are young and want to experiment. Anyways, they dont really fail when you look at their sales in the last decade.

no, they had ghost writers and a different production team for their first few albums, then they ditched that and wrote/produced their own music, this is also when they started to suck. you can tell because mtm got very political whereas the earlier CDs were just more generic. i pretty much think they suck now, and they were only decent at the start.

Listen to any one of their songs.
In it they will rap, and then they will scream.
I still really like a few of them(that Mac pointed out).
Edit- Ok Zhar, we get it. You do not like them. Do not feel the need to convince others of the same.
Most of their stuff just sounds really similar.

Sir, I don't understand.
