First thing I am doing is grabbing my druid, grabbing Azerothian Flying, and gonna fly over Orgrimmar and Durotar, then Undercity and Tirisfal Glades, then I am gonna find Garrosh and flip him off, then I'm gonna find the True Warchief Thrall and beg him to come back.
and they have been rubbing the release date in our face for quite some time now in the Gnomeregan Bulletin...
Official Blizzard Quote:
After all, Thermaplugg has eluded death for years to keep his reign over Gnomeregan; and with the fall of the Lich King, the last great threat to the citizens of Azeroth, the chance of any cataclysmic event taking place in the foreseeable future is "less than 12.7%," Mekkatorque's leading combat medical advisor Doc Cogspin purported.
12.7% - launches 12/7
wondering what other release dates they might have around...
anyway i'm going to start with my gnome mage. will probably take archaeology until i get bored while exploring the changes of the old world, then will progress to the more high level stuff (hopefully there wont be as many people there as when it launches)
I'm making a Worgen (lol), not sure on the class, though, depending on how well my current class goes, how my guild is, will I get to level 80 or w/e. I kinda want to play a tank or healer (e.g., someone important) for a change. Will certainly be grabbing skinning since Worgen have a huge bonus, and probably archaeology.
Since I'm a fan of warcraft 2, it's going to be interesting what happened to DW

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced that World of Warcraft®: Cataclysm™, the highly anticipated third expansion for the world's most popular subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game*, will be released starting on December 7, 2010. The expansion will be available on DVD-ROM for Windows® XP/Windows Vista®/Windows® 7 and Macintosh® at a suggested retail price of $39.99 and will also be offered as a digital download from the Blizzard Store. A special Collector’s Edition packed with bonus items will be available exclusively in retail stores for a suggested retail price of $79.99.
"Cataclysm includes the best content we've ever created for World of Warcraft. It’s not just an expansion, but a re-creation of much of the original Azeroth, complete with epic new high-level adventures for current players and a redesigned leveling experience for those just starting out," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "With the help of our beta testers, we're putting on the final polish, and we look forward to welcoming gamers around the world to enjoy it in just a couple of months."
The first two World of Warcraft expansions, The Burning Crusade® and Wrath of the Lich King®, each shattered PC game sales records upon their release.* In Cataclysm, the face of Azeroth will be forever altered by the return of the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing. Players will explore once-familiar areas of the world that have now been reshaped by the devastation and filled with new adventures. In an effort to survive the planet-shattering cataclysm, two new playable races -- worgen and goblins -- will join the struggle between the Alliance and the Horde. As players journey to the new level cap of 85, they'll discover newly revealed locations, acquire new levels of power, and come face to face with Deathwing in a battle to determine the fate of the world.
The beta test for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is currently underway. there still are gnomes, no real reason to make a goblin! gnomes are THE short badasses
and worgen are really, really tempting. will probably go for a dwarf shaman too (when i RP i'm short, ok? :P)
Gonna either make a troll druid (their animal forms are epic, why? THEY HAVE TUSKS) or a goblin, we'll see.
And I probably won't get it until around this summer or early next year due to school and stuff.
I'm also going for a troll druid for my new character in cata :D. I've always wanted a druid and troll ones are epic indeed. I was going to play alliance and roll a worgen druid, but me and my friends returned to horde so troll it is
Only thing good about gnomes are that you can punt them. Thats about it. Goblins, though, are really neat. I'll be making one myself. I just don't know what class yet. Lol.
Yea, I never understood that. You have this 2 ton bipedal bovine killed by this child-like thing. I never understood why you couldn't turn around and just step on the damned things.
Pretty much. Gnomes (and Goblins, sorry) are just as illogical as it gets and I do not recall any lore explanations for their extraordinary abilities...
