Now, as you can see there is only one resolution so far (the biggest possible) so if you're having trouble with the resolution please reply and I'll see if I can cook up some other stuff.
Comments, questions and suggestions are very welcome!
As you may notice it's not letterboxed the same way as the others; this due to leaving parts of the image out would instantly make the whole image look like shit.
This conversion was a bit tricker than all the others. Up till now I've just extracted flv files and making them fit into a nice letterbox.
To create this dreamscene I had to
* Download the illidan wallpaper, import it into the flash project
* Make the flv (video stream) fit into the wallpaper
* Add a layer around the flv to make it melt into the wallpaper
^ wasn't funny
What I'm trying to say is: you better damn enjoy this one
Edit1: Added support for 1280x800 by request
Edit2: Added illidan.zip, containing a SWF file (1680x1050), by request
Say I have a minor request, I like it now. But I'm not a fan of those black letterboxes. It's just bad imo when it suddenly goes black.
So can you make a transition between the picture and the black letterboxes? As if it's fading out?
If it looks random it's the best imo. (Like you accidentally did with (due to the picture) Deathwing.)
Yeah, all versions of windows are essentially the same thing but with different blocks...
You can also do it like you do for XP - with the SWF. It works wonderfully and you can easily drag the borders (not resizing). There is another little trick if you make the viewable part of the it smaller. You can right click it and choose zoom out and then back in. This will "unlock" the wallpaper so you can drag it around. Like if you have 2 pieces of paper, place one on top of the other, then cut a window in the top paper. You can then use your finger(mouse) to move the bottom paper(wallpaper) to display different parts of it. It is really cool if you have gigantic and detailed wallpaper that really shouldn't fit on your screen. You can choose different things to look at every day
