I got a big question for the Alliance folk on this forum. What is with the fascination with ganking in Tanaris? I only see 40-50 Hordies and 70 Alliance. Are you guys pissed that your too weak to get into Hyjal raids that you take it out on lower levels? I really don't get it. I mean, I understand we all get upset. And I would be upset if I couldn't get into Hyjal, but is it really mature to chase someone down laughing that's 10-20+ levels above you? Is that really the mature way to let out your aggression?
I guess I honestly don't get it.. Please explain it to me.
'LoL', *fight without honor*, hah; No we do it to get the reactions like you're giving us now, and well it's just funny to do while waiting for everyone to show up for scheduled raids.
I experienced this myself playing on a PvP server outside of Tarren Mill. Always a bunch of 60 allies running around on their mounta ganking people. It sucked, so I switched to PvE and never, ever looked back. I lost nothing.
I cannot tell you what it's like, I never went around and ganked people, because I couldn't. But the problem lies in the fact that they cannot put themselves in their opponents position. They do not understand how exceedingly frustrating it is to get ganked. However, such is life on a PvP server, and you can always just switch over to PvE if you can't handle it.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

i play on a carebear server as well. I tried leveling on a PvP server once, i got corpsed camped in the barrens and just went back to my normal server lol. more than likely though the people who gank are young teens because at that point in their life they want to break free from their "controlling" parents but can't. So instead they control you by continually ganking you. Otherwise they just wanna fuck with yah

Alliance (mostly elves and humans) consists mostly of children (younger than 15) which means that as long as they hit the cap they try to "show" their superiority to others by ganking. Happened to me in EU-Genjuros with my undead mage when i had one, then two enemies at the same level trying to kill me and then having 3 level 60 (was the cap at the time) running after me.
The thing is that if you're in a PvP server, you're looking for it.
There was only one "rule of honor" that i knew of on the PvP realms: Never jump someone on the known grind spots (which were mostly Hearthglen and that other Scarlet Crusade city in Eastern Plaguelands mostly).
Or you can always be in a group with higher level characters (or just in big groups for your region) when questing.

That must have been for that server only. From what I've gathered from watching the WoW forums, that does not hold true at all
Ganking is surely great fun. Getting big crits and seeing all your enemies die. I mean, it's great fun to run through a 5-player isntance on your own once you've gained a few levels, so why shouldn't this be?

It just really aggrivates me when your obviously killing mobs for a quest and then this alliance 70 comes along and kills you randomly
I repeat - you're on a PvP server, stop whining and fucking suck it up. That's the point of PvP servers! GANK people! It's fun! Even Drysc says stfu (in a nicer manner) to people who bitch like you. I forget the forum thread though...
Sorry if I sound mad or annoyed at you or if I sound like I hate you. I don't, it's just this specific subject...

The original point of PvP was to simulate something more or less realistic. MMORPG PvP is anything but realistic. There is no law system. That kinda destroys the whole idea...
No the original point of pvp was so players could own the flying fuck out of each other there's nothing promoting realism when you're toting fireballs and shooting magical arrows at one another, and fingol w/e most of the alliance I've ever played with were 18+ duno what servers you're playing on mate. There's kids on both ends of the spectrum thats what we get for the T rating.
Linkx why does it even matter, you're playing on a private server, which is just stupid to begin with cause that shit is run off emulators an of course a bunch of kids are goin to be playing on that bullshit once they figure out how to, cause they're mums an daddies won't pay a penny towards the actual subscription, quit your whining, head over to stranglethorn horde are constantly ganking allies there, on most pvp servers thats where the real ganking is at. The shit is push an shove, go find somewhere else to level up.
I believe I understand why Alliance do what they do now.
Alliance are pissed that they got killed when they were starting out so they take it out on all Horde, except when the Horde can put up a fight, and consider it right because it happened to them once a year or two ago.

For example. This group of Alliance went to like 15 or 20 cities like the Crossroads, Camp T, Tarren Mill, even Gromgol's flight master was killed. I mean, what is the point of that? It's just frustrating. >.<

Secondly, retail servers may not be like this. I play PvE one and there aren't 70 alliances but, then again, what would be the point?

I guess Alliance think its right and just to fight without honor?...
Somehow I don't believe you, then again alot of what comes out of your mouth is dribble...
Any competent Alliance players want to reply? (Aside from Chaos. ^^)

I've got to the point where I can't trust any alliance. >.<

Thankyou everyone for helping me understand this.
dont forget it works both ways
Yes. It does, but Alliance to a greater extent.
That and Horde can usually admit it.
I guess it comes with the Horde usually being played by older more mature people. *Shrugs.*

might have to do with the fact that Alliance are more populated than the Horde on most servers.
