The only issue I have is that they changed the entire background of the site to their torchlight game. If it is absolutely necessary to have ads on this site (in order to keep it running) please dont dominate our front page and change the whole background on the main page to this torchlight game. Dont get me wrong, the game does look cool but i think these people are out of line here. Take that (dominating) advertisement off the front page or at least make it less dominating. If necessary please at least dont change the whole background of diablofans to torchlight.

First and foremost - Torchlight is an outstanding game and anyone who hasn't bought it yet needs to go out and buy it! As stated before the devs of this game are the devs from Diablo II, and the composer is from the Diablo series too (music is outstanding).
However, it's a complete joke to have a big ass advertisement take up the entire damn background of the main page. This is exactly the bullcrap that makes people hate the new changes and be wary of the new administration. This is a Diablo fansite and now we have some big ass advertisement for a competing game (even if it is awesome) taking up the whole background. You can cry site costs all you want, but the fact remians this site was here a LONG time before huge ass ads for other games took over the background. So what are you going to tell me next, that the past admins farted out fairy dust to pay for the site costs?
Someone's analogy of a large corporation taking over a small company is perfect.
The fact of the matter is the B:North started production on Diablo 3. That is not a joke, it is what it is. I don't doubt that a lot of concepts were taken and placed into Blizzard's D3, as you can see, both games are extremely similar.
Dude, Blizzard North's D3 was Hellgate London, or at least of version of that. Blizz Ivine thought the idea was so terrible that they canned nearly everyone working on the project. Torchlight is obviously a copy of Blizzard's D3, not the other way around. For example, when was the first time we heard about Torchlight? 6 months ago? And the first time we heard about D3? Exactly.

Because you're talking about the game that the ads are advertising (that the original topic was talking about). Oh ... wait ....
Also, Archie, it's completely unfair to call this game a copy of Diablo 3. This development team had a game already created before Flagship got closed down - called Mythos - that was outstanding. They made Torchlight in 11 months with a 30 man team and are going to make an MMO based off it (single player was just there to introduce people to the world).
It's not offtopic. Sixen felt it necessary to bring up other games they have created and we were merely commenting on that fact.

To summarize the ad situation review this post.
How is it getting off topic?

Which is off-topic to this particular thread now. So I'm closing it. The ad question has been answered.
