StarCraft: Ghost was initially an RPG PC game in works by Blizzard Entertainment. During the first stages of production, this title was canned but revived soon, this time as FPS for the consule systems. The game was initially schedulled for a 2002 release but delayed until 2003. Though the game was almost finished, Blizzard staff realized that what they had developed was not as fun as they had hoped therefore they aquired Swinging Ape studios and started the game from scratch. This process took way too long and when they were in post production stage, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo all announced their next generation consules. With Microsoft's XBox 360 already in stores and several successful game titles released, Blizzard Entertainment decided to freez the project for the time being since their newest draft wasn't capable of competing titles developed for the next-gen consules.
Though some say Blizzard has completely cancelled this title, I can tell you that they have not. This game is still on the their "To-Do" list but this time in a different form.
Remember that there's always this possiblity to convert the gameplay of Ghost into an RTC game, pretty much like what happend to WarCraft III. But whether this is their final plan and has Blizzard's approval stamped on it, is unknown.
I like the whole idea of a starcraft rpg, but I think the way they had it going, there was too much of the stealth element, and not enough of the "Fable" element, the Fable element being the random killing and sandboxiness.
iunno all i know is i saw stuff about it years ago and i thought it looked amazing, lol everytime i think about it now i get pissed that it never happend, dont advertise what your not certain will be done

Has This Corrupt Chaos Infested Itself In My Soul? Or Has My Soul Been The True Essence Of Corruption All Along.... ----GXAII----
I actually had been looking forward to Ghost for a long time, even as it gradually became more apparent that it'd be indefinitely scrubbed.
However, while in some ways it looked interesting, others I just rolled my eyes at. Particularly the character Nova. Now, I'm not naive that sex sells and there will be provocative women in movie, television, and video games.
But this was just ridiculous...
What's up with her ass? This just doesn't look like the kind of rugged saboteur they portrayed ghosts as in the original Starcraft. Even Kerrigan, while mildy attractive, still had that beaten up, worn look that seemed more realistic. This bitch just looks like she's at some terrible Euro-trash fashion show.
But I agree with Siaynoq to a certain degree. The Ghosts weren't sex symbols, they were assassins and sabateurs, and while its true that sex sells, that shot is a little ridiculous. Who would want to fight Zerg while they have a wedgie?
Yah, well if they made Nova as unique a character as Kerrigan used to be (before infestation), intelligent, normalish human, interesting, changed the look of her face to be a little more exotic (like I thought she used to be... she's supposed to be 'natural' too, for god sakes) and not like that of some labotomy and plastic surgery, etc. with the inclusion of a backstory not written by Decandido, and a plot as well layed out as the original StarCraft happened to be, then they'd have succeeded (at least with the female protagonist). Don't know what's gone wrong with Blizz. I guess they didn't get the 'hang' of it after all these years. Perhaps their 'fresh youngster' employees are screwing them over. Perhaps they didn't even try.
That picture looks far too much like some rendition of Aeon Flux, with added effect of the barbie, blow-up doll, coke addict, supermodel look. Horrible, really.
