Here we are, yet another weekend, and we all know what that means...
Weekly Updates! thats right
so on this week we had a lot of fun in Max Payne 3.
we were chocking to death at Metro 2033.
and we choped some faces in Blade of Darkness.
also we had an interesting interview with Qieth another LPer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU8qFN64TQA
hard work, improving myself, doing many collabs, well most of the big tips are in the interview with Qieth
personally i'm releasing 1-2 vids a day, working on recording/editing, learning new stuff etc about 6 hours a day.
Yeah your editing is good and I like your online persona. I don't do anything fancy with mine. Pretty much 0 editing. But I think recording games for me is more an excuse to replay an older game one last time. Maybe I'll edit my sig with my channel in it like you did! Seems a logical start.
well i use 4-5 softwares for recoding/editing. its more of a personality in my opinion and the idea you stand behind.
like you've said, you like my online persona, and so do my viewers. problem is that most ppl dont undertand the idea i stand behind.
my advise is be yourself, HAVE FUN!, set your goals, share your stuff to friends etc, and dont do it for subs
the way youtube is right now, its REALLY hard to get noticed.
Yeah and ultimately I just do it cause it's relaxing to sit back and talk about a game as you're playing it. What software are you using to record? I've tried lots of different ones and ultimately settled on Hypercam even though it tends to be better for older games only.
Ayy, if you're talking about a couple of those Dead Space videos, that was a total accident. I usually have the game's audio turned down to about 4/100 but those ones somehow the game's audio was back to it's default 100 and I had already gone long past that point in the game so I just upped them anyway and acknowledged my mistake in the video's description.
Also with Privateer it took me a bit to figure out I could even mix the volumes so the first couple there the game drowns out my voice too unfortunately. So that was a learning process that I probably lost a few potential viewers over. LOL
well i run audacity before fraps, so that file will be longer then the fraps one.
thats where Sony Vegas will come into the picture, you simply cut the edges, sync it all and you're fixed
getting the perfect results aint easy, even though i give my videos the idea of "Fail", then you might think that i'm gonna do some
mistakes in editing or what not. but actually i'm working hard on the editting part, my game play and commentary are enough for the fails
When I recorded with FRAPS I always had two persistent issues. One was I never could get the counter in the upper corner to go away. I assumed I had to get the paid version of Fraps to get rid of that. Second was when I recorded older games such as Fallout 1 with it, it made Fallout run really laggy. But I was trying Fraps to record Fallout because I've had bad luck forcing the game into windowed mode and Hypercam is really only good for recording windows as opposed to full screen.
Also, what kind of hardware do you have? Video card, RAM, etc? I know that extra RAM is useful for recording purposes and your videos look pretty smooth so I was curious.
Mm I should have no problem then. I think it's just the game itself that is lagging for other reasons. How big would you say are your 10 minute long files? I suspect I can achieve a higher compression of the ones I'm making without having to lose much quality.
