I'm not bashing D3, but I think this is the best place to ask, but I was looking for something different, for right now at least. No, I'm not talking about Titan Quest or Torchlight, I'm looking for something with some more story, but still keeps with the "traditional" hack and slash and skill based type system.
These are what I can think of, wanted to know if anyone has played them in the past.
-Never Winter Nights series
-Divine Divinity series
I think Divine Divinity is a little more Diablo-esque...Also there is a new one coming out called R.A.W, which looks awesome.
Awesome thanks for the posts...I haven't heard of a couple of those games, will check them out. I am probably going to start up Dungeon Siege 2 again here shortly, maybe even try Dungeon Siege 3.
Divinity II isn't quite the traditional top-down Diablo setup, but the gameplay still feels arcadey and closer to Diablo than say Oblivion. And of course it has the same kind of interesting story and side quests as Divinity I.
DS3 is kinda bad, but it's one of your very few options for a story-heavy H&S...
