Hey, what are the good mmos that are free to play?
The last guy there posted about Age of Conan being free to play now.
I havent tried it.
I did download a game called Vindictus the other day. Im not sure if its an mmo or not.
It plays like an action game like ninja gaiden or something.
Didnt play it long enough to tell if i like it yet.
Here's some i heard were free to play now but havent tried any of them:
Everquest 2, Dungeons n dragons online, lord of the rings online.
never tried any of them. oh and guild wars is free to play. but you still need to buy the game first.
Those should be the best 2 free to play mmorpgs around. Both have their differences. LotRO was very group oriented early on. Still offers well coordinated groups a very nice gaming experience. Typical MMORPG controls, interesting classes and races. Free to play is kinda limited in some aspects, however. Character slots and gold limit are the most major ones I think.
Age of Conan is more action oriented. Aim your combos depending on opponent defenses etc. Has some very impressive fatalities too. The gore makes it the more... "mature" MMORPG alright.
EverQuest 2 Extended (the free version) blows. I'll tell you why they make you about useless you can receive (can't send) mail, you can't use most of the chat channels, you get only the most basic skill/spell upgrades and are bared from using the best 2 item tiers in the game (these last 2 character gimps will make you think EQ2 is the worst game on earth) . EverQuest 2 is best played with the pay model. I play EverQuest 2 and tried extended this is just a warning. I hear LoTRO is good though. And D&DO is more suited for D&D fans. Champions online isn't bad if you like the super hero style games. HellGate: London is back and is free to play, it's not 100% atm being in OBT. But, if you played HG:L it's great with some new features, everything you would remember it to be for the most part.
My question is how is Conan now that it's free to play? I stop playing is on the starter island because I felt i was going no where.
I just got into Rappelz. It's a MMORPG, pretty easy to level in the beginning, easy on beginners, free pets, tons of skills, 3 different classes. So far from what I've played, it's a great game. I've played almost every f2p MMO out there, and this makes it somewhere in my top 3 list.

Life is only another stage of death, in fearing death you can not live life to the fullest. Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible.
