I remember that water bug, too! I remember that when i played the game i had no connection to the internet at all as well, so you can imagine the situation. Good thing it was a friend that his friend told him and he told me how to get pass by it, lol!
Weird, never had the issues you guys are describing. Wait, you didn't describe any, you're just complaining about a bug and then about gameplay without mentioning the gameplay you're complaining about.
I had a crash bug with SII, that's pretty much it. I did get it after it was patched for a considerable time, though.
That bug was in Sacred 1, probably the only major bug in the game, but if you didn't know what to do your main quest is `till there and you are stuck... Nevertheless, i enjoyed the first one way way much better than the second... Truth be told ,i didn't even spent more than couppla hours of play on the second, couse after 30 minutes my left hand automatically Alt+F4'd... Tired to give it a shot a few more times but it simply sux, the brain rejects it... Ppl may like it, im happy for `em but i rather waste the time on sumtin else...
surprisindly enough i didn't have that bug while playing Sacred 1. I also kinda liked Sacred 2 but i stopped playing for some reason. What annoyed me most is that i didn't have the chance to use more than 4 spells unless i combined them in combos.
A few words about Sacred 2. It is a good game, but suffers from an army of bugs. I wouldn't suggest playing it without the CM patch. The CM patch fixes dozens of quest related issues, unlocks all sorts of gear and even a couple of quests. But, in my opinion, despite the awesome work the guys behind the unofficial patch have done, they made some wrong decisions (or took not welcome liberties) as well. I haven't followed the development of the CM patch lately, but the last version I tried introduced some things that I wasn't so happy with, especially to the Quest Log.
