If there was only 1, yes 1, movie then I would take all of these actors to fit the role, however that is not how Hollywood works if the story has alot of room for sequels. Usually the first one is really good and then they get progressively worse if you try to use a whole group of big time actors.
Look at X-men, a handful of top notch actors. The first movie was great, and the rest just sucked. Why? Because they couldn't pay the actors what they wanted and still have enough money left over to make anything else in the movie good. Which is why they are doing X-men Origins with only 1 big time actor in each.
However you do have the exceptions like LoTR, but those movies were significantly better and grossed more than usually Trilogies do.
I would choose Huge Jackman as a druid, Don Cheadle as the pally or Angelina Jolie for Amazon. Choose one of them and do the story from that one characters point of view and then have the rest, or just a couple of the other characters that show up randomly throughout the movie.
I don't think you guys are thinking this through properly..I doubt they'd all these big names to play in such a movie..actually, we'd be lucky to see just one semi big name in it, IF it's made.

Meh, the movie probably won't be made for at least another 5-10 years (IF it's made, as you put it), so the idea of this post is to just have some fun suggesting actors and actresses we think would fit the role. No point in trying to pinpoint who would actually be cast for the roles.
Sorceress: Penelope Cruz (She's got the sexy look, and that's all she needs)
Assassin: Milla Jovovich (Perfect match physically, AND she's got martial arts moves)
Amazon: Angelina Jolie (The blonde version)
Paladin: Djimon Hounsou (This dude could MASTER the somber Paladin)
Druid: Conan O'Brien (Tall, lanky, pale, red hair, NEXT!)
Necromancer: Tim Robbins (Put a white wig on him and he's perfect)
Barbarian: Vin Diesel (Blue body paint, good to go)
1) Demand, we as fans MUST want it. If we don't want it, Nobody is going to make it. But at the same time, we want Quality, then we have to also demand Quality. And, comes in #2
2) Patience - Finding a great director, actor IS going to be difficult. we can't just want it NOW with ANY garbage actors and dictors, CGI studio... we wait patiently while still demand bad for it!
3) More Patience & FEEDBACK - After they announce the movie is going to be made... we don't want to rush them to put the movie out ASAP. We want them to take their time, get the movie done RIGHT! Put inputs like how the movie should and shouldn't become...

Yea like if they make an animation movie that is like for adults you know, with blood and gore lol... It could be good, with a good director of course.
I personally wont really mind how the movie will turn out, even if its not so epic i will be happy.
really though how can you make a movie about a game that is about one person using spells and changing their armor every ten minutes? It would be too hard to do to keep it like diablo games.

I don't think anybody wants to watch a movie that's EXACTLY like the games, we would want a movie like the books. It follows the storyline of the games, but doesn't span every single quest and piece of armor. What, did you expect to see Baal runs in a Diablo movie?
