Well, even so, it's gotten awesome reviews. It looks like they're planning more games in a series or something, so I am sure that they're planning to improve this ones short comings with later games.
Just tried it on a friends PC.....seems bloody awesome!!!! I hope my little laptop can manage on medium settings since I dont have access to my desktop ATM
Well the game looks pretty good so far, i just dont like that theres only 3 classes and those 3 only have 2 subclasses to choose from. But meh whatev it seems to be a good game. Also i dont like that they made a whole new world for it, it would have been much better in the DnD world.

If anyone who gets DA is running on the bare minimum hardware requirements (we're talking a 256 MB card) I'd really appreciate some insight into how it runs and what settings you wind up using. I'd hate to have to get this for the 360.
From the day I saw it I knew it wasn't my type of game :/. I'm gonna stick to my diablo II but I'm willing to try Nox for a couple of days (if I get the time that is), we'll see how it goes :P.

I have a 256 card and it runs fine on medium settings, anything about that not so great though. But medium looks pretty good, better than I had expected at least.
Not only that but the 360 version apparently has the worst visuals and according to gamespot is the worst of the 3 (8.5) while the PS3 has better visuals with some slight FPS hiccups (9) and PC winning with great everything lol (9.5). So i guess what I am saying is even if you cant run the game on high, medium will probably look as good if not better then 360, otherwise if you have a ps3 get it for that.
The game has pause feature wich lets you to stop the time and make any action you want without rushing somewhere, like in icewind dale 2. But its a matter of taste - someone will say its great, others will complain that it takes the thrill out and makes it boring. But its not like you have no choice. You can pause it or not.
I think it will have also new things never seen before, graphics are great, but let's be real - they dont stand near oblivion.
I don't get why anyone thinks oblivions graphics are good. They are actually pretty terrible, along with halo 3 and source engine games. By terrible i mean on today's standards, all three are relatively dated in terms of graphics.
I started playing Oblivion the other day and I was still impressed with the grafx. Maybe they aren't the most superior out there, but for a game thats what, 3yrs or more old I'd say its good that I still take the scenic routes in the game.
On Topic: This game looks alright, but I was hoping for Multiplayer. It just doesn't interest me enough to buy it. I'm just sad that nothing will keep me interested for as long as i have to wait for D3. Guess I have to get back into D2...

Dragon age wont have better graphics anyway. Better graphics sometimes ruins the game itself. Look at the diablo 2 the graphics are 2D but it is still played today.
Diablo II isn't good because the graphics are bad, its good because it's good. That will probably be the case with Dragon age as well. That doesn't mean they both couldn't benefit from the graphics boost.
I was going to post a graphics comparison between twilight princess, oblivion, and demon's souls, but i wont get off topic.

That's certainly encouraging. Could you give me the exact name of your card though? I'm on a 7950 GT with 256 instead of 512.
using ps3, been playing for about 12 hours on a city elf rogue. its a decent console port, for the most part. 6 spell with right trigger toggle is kinda meh, but its quick to get used too. but like deltidsninja said, its abit harder then i thought itd be, even on normal.

Actually it seems I'm running a 512 that they stopped making a while back. It's the 8600GT.
I only have 2gb RAM though, and a dual core 2.1ghz processor. So I'm not sure if you could run it or not, I want to say yes still. It's hard to get lower RAM and processing power than me nowadays.
The Xbox version I imagine would look very similar to the medium graphics on PC, but the downside is inventory management is never as good on consoles, really no controls are. Also the game will have a toolset out for modding which of course you can't use on consoles. So if I was you I'd go ahead and buy for PC and maybe upgrade your card if need be, though I'm pretty sure you could run it medium.

Really? I don't know a single soul (only refering to friends and family) with a computer as good as that. None is more powerful than mine, 3.4 ghz, 8500gt, 2gb ram... I just have no clue whats with this "everyone got uber computer" nowadays..
What do you mean with that statement?
Look at everyone ready to buy this game.
And I can't blame them. It still looks like Bioware's quality.
But its sad. There is no gaming company worth boycotting more than this one, and look at all the money they'll get from this.
Yes, sad indeed.
