Indeed he is. After seriously playing the games all the way through, I became very interested in who the G-Man was. You can totally sense how powerful he must be, and the way he speaks is disturbing as he is obviously trying to emulate human speech and comfortably appear as a stereotypical human bureaucrat.
He (or his employers) obviously wanted Earth to be the latest front in the war against the Combine. That part of his intentions are pretty clear I think. What I'm curious about is what his interest in Alyx is. Cause he actually seems more vested in Alyx than he is in Gordon.

I just finished HL2: Episode 2 with the 'tragic' ending, but I really want a Episode 3 now. Its like when you read a really good book and then you miss the characters in the story when youre done
