The awesome part is that it's real time on a PS3 their main idea is for facial emotions and actor work to be directly transcribed in a game cutscene with minimal work. There is not much body movements so I won't comment but the facial expression is great, not sure if this is such a big improvement compared to LA noire faces though.
It's worthy to note, this engine is already 1 year old and according to Cage they made huge improvement since then.
Yea that video is awesome. The graphics are very nice and like they said the engine has been improved since.
Unfortunatelly I think this is just a short video to showcase the engine, not an intro to anything.
Sadly you are very right. I watched the interview after watching Kara and one of the producers (not sure if lead or not) was talking about how this is just to showcase an engine, just like their other short clip (something like casting call) which they used to before they made heavy rain.
This realllly made me want to see a game or a movie out of it though.

*see 'actually'
well, i mean you see a cyborg type heart, and she's supposed to act exactly like a human, so it makes sense that they added tear ducts
Real awesome idea!
