I know a good number of core members here also are part of the community there. I myself have been visiting the site and participating there since it was Diabloii.net way back when Diablo 2 was released. It was my favorite place to go for years and years for Diablo related news.
My question is what function does it serve to the fan site community at this point? Every post by Flux has snarky, editorial style commentary. I don't mind things being brought into question but literally every single news post is negative or tinged with backhanded remarks towards Diablo 3 and Blizzard.
I mean they don't have connections with Blizzard any longer, no contests for beta keys or invites to fansite summits. Sure that isn't everything... but... as a major fansite for Diablo they are really an odd site at this point. I feel like it wants to be a Diablo 2/ Torchlight fansite but lives under the guise of being for Diablo 3.
It's a shame because it would have been nice to see these two fan sites become a cohesive team.

So on one part you say its different than diablofans and wished it was like diablofans but on the other hand you question its existense which if it was just like diablofans would clearly be non necessary.
Yeah incgamers is a lot more cynical, and I like it there is a lot of reasons to be when you think of the past 6 months of D3.
I like Flux, but his editorializing does get a bit tiring. I wish he could make a point without bringing up Bobby Kotick or grandmas because a lot of what he says is pretty good, it's just served with a giant heaping of bitterness. I guess they've got their niche. Negativity also gets attention. I think? I wouldn't know where they rank in the Diablo fan site world.
A lot of people are often praising them for not being some fanboy site, which is the usual response to any support of Diablo 3 I suppose. I don't want anyone telling me how great the game is and how great I am for liking it, but just some straight forward analysis isn't too much to ask I think. So I guess I go to DiabloFans. :/
But I don't really ahve one MAIN site anyway, so...yeah.
I really hate the site design, lol. Just had to say that.
