... I think he knows what a moose is, he is Canadain, after all.
Not knowing what a moose is when you live in Canada is fucking blasphemy.
Back on the whole rep thing..
I was putting my name in my rep comments for a brief while, then realized that completely defeats the purpose of rep.
Rep is made to give to people if they've made a really good post, given a thoughtful point, ect. Not for "hey, he gave me rep, I'mma give him some". That defeats the purpose of rep going to those who deserve it, and just ends up with people passing rep back and forth simply because they gave it to each other. In that way, you could have a shitty poster who has tons of rep, simply because he gives it out to fucking everyone. Rep should go to those who actually deserve it, simply giving rep to somebody should not qualify you as a rep recipient.
Odd epiphany I had, but it was an epihany nonetheless :/.
After realizing that, I stopped putting my name in my rep +'s.

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Hm... That is a good point. I always just did it because I always thought from my end, "I wonder who gave me that?", but, like you said, if you leave your name it will just be a tennis match of reputation points. I think I'm going to cut that habit, then.
I just don't give people rep just for giving it to me lol.
Exactly. I enjoy knowing who gave me rep of course but I do not return it because they simply gave me rep. I think names should be included. If an etiquette for it is established that sets a trend for NOT giving someone rep just because they gave you rep then I think it would work out well with a system that let you know who gave you rep.

I don't know how to check my rep. I was looking for it in my profile and I couldn't find it. I thought it would be in the Statistics section but it's not there. But im on a distinguished road, if that helps.

User CP.
The message you entered is too short blah-blah-blah, yes, I'm a woman of few words.
Ok everyone, keep the bickering about this to a minimum. The thread is simply asking you how much rep you have, it's not asking you to give rep to others because they post here, or asking you to give people negative rep for sharing their own rep either.
You rep people on a post-per-post basis depending in the quality of their posts. A good post that actually deserves to give the user some form or reputation and merit is good, and negative rep is for unhelpful, rude or ridiculing posts. Not boring, or bland, or undeserving posts.

Yeah... the rep feature is pretty neglected, and you guys really need to lay down some guidelines.
I mean it's fully functional and all... but it's just there.
Specially for the new forum users :/.

edit: It would be nice to know who gives you rep. That way I can return the favour.

+1 rep ;D
Good point I guess.
Which is precisely what has happened over the course of this thread, the million post thread, and the Random thread.

We need some general guidelines for this I think.
