I'm not really. I liked the first three books okay, but I saw the previews and remembered why I was apprehensive about starting the series in the first place. And I don't like a lot of the casting in it.
Maybe I'm just really sick of the characters though. I got two chapters into the fourth book and the moment stupid Bella started being one dimensional again and talking how beautiful and god like Edward was, followed by how she couldn't understand what an Adonis like him saw in her, I was just like, yeah....I'm done with this series for now.
Plus I'd hate to run into all the teeny boppers that are going to be raving about this movie. I'll just wait until it's on DVD and fast forward through what are likely to be the boring romantic parts.
Warlord made fun of me the other night for having read the Twilight books. I had to explain to him his chances of getting a date if only he wore a t-shirt that said, "Attenion Ladies: I Have Read Twilight".

i did, i had to ask, "are you gay?" i dont mean that in a bad way, but seriously i get mad how its all over the internet and how the all the girls who read it are like, "i wish edward was real"

OMG!!! I've been reading the first book, and I'm already sick of that! The Author repeats Edward's "looks" like five billion times throughout one paragraph. I mean, Honestly, I think that's one of the reasons why the book is so long, because of every time Bella "touches him" or "looks at him" she is always amazed by his "perfect looks". But yea.. I defiantly agree with you there.
My girlfriend is looking forward to this movie, she's read all the books. I was instantly turned off when I heard it's about vampires that sparkle like diamonds in the sunlight.
I actually kind of enjoy Harry Potter. Sure it's for younger audiences but meh, who here can honestly say they've never watched/played anything that was for a younger age group?
they've already got stuff at my work selling Twilight merchandise.........man.. the books really are not that good as they are made out to be (atleast the first one)...
*shakes head and sighs*
It's not gonna end soon. Cause if you don't think they're gonna make movies for every book, you're like....wrong.
I've actually thought about taking the Twilight series off my shelf on Shelfari cause I get a constant barrage of assholes always asking me if they think I should read the book or not. At first I told them yes and why, then I just told them yes. Then I told them no and why, then I just told them no, and now I tell them to avoid these books like they would rape.
It's just become one of those books for me where at first I really didn't mind them. But the fans killed it for me. I'm one of those weird people where if something gets too popular, then the annoying fans of that thing starts to distract me too much from what I like about it.
Doesn't it suck when you love something and then it gets ultra over exposed by the media and fanbase and then everyone likes it and you have age groups of 12-50 reading it and wearing T shirts and drinking out of coffee mugs etc etc.
Just makes me want to go, "HEY! I liked it BEFORE it was cool!"
Does this mean good or bad? I don't know teen speak.
That means its beyond horrible. Everything sounded so forced, not to mention so incredibly cheesy. The camera was wobbly, sometimes I even got a headache >_>. And in one scene, towards the end, Bella was in the hospital, right after the James incident, and she was stammering because she thought Edward was going to leave her. So basically, for 3 minutes, Bella was non-stop "What?!-But--No!. You can't--I'm-NO!-Thats just-What! No- Please--" Very annoying....
ive heard the books are a disgrace to vampires. so i'll stay away from them, and the movie...i'll try.
anyways, from what friends describe edward as, he sounds like lame guy. but the actor playing him is really cool...he played cedric from goblet of fire.

An "Americanized" version will be released next year, for you lazy ones in the crowd.
