So, the huskers would have won the game if the ref didn't make that bullsh!t late hit call. It's fairly obvious that he didn't intend to hit him late. I mean, is it so damned hard to understand that when somebody has already leaped at somebody's predicted position they have no control whatsoever of slowing and stopping before hitting somebody or something that is in their way. If you ask me, I would guarantee you that either A: The ref has some kind of heavy prejudice against Nebraska or B: The ref was paid by somebody.
What a f*cking ripoff.
I hope the ref gets fired...
And I want to say some worse stuff, but it's better I don't.
i stopped watching the game, but i did hear about that call its pretty crappy
its good to see somebody else here from nebraska, i live in a small town called milligan 60 miles sw of lincoln
and obalobex stfu nebraska used to be one of the biggest and best football teams untill calahan came and made us crappy
Anyways, although I care not for American Football (or any kind of football, for that matter), I share your pain stalker. I both play and watch basketball all the time. I have been the victom of MANY bad calls before as well as seen many bad calls during games. I could go into them, but I don't want to waste my life away with such numerous blatent calls.
One of the worst, however, is back in grade 7. I was playing in a small house league and I was going back on defense to guard the guy who had the ball. Then the center of the opposing team picked me up by the neck, turned to face me towards the ref (who WAS looking) and then put me down. The ref just continued on his way. And yes I know for a fact of what he did, my parents and teammates witnessed. He also clothe-lined me a few minutes later near a ref (can't remember if he was looking or not). After the game, my parents talked to the owner of the league and got him fired. =/

it dosent matter if you intend to hit somone late or not, the fact is that he did it. being intenional ro unintentional has no effect on the penalty call

In grade 9, some big black guy on the other team punched out one of my friends on the court after we scored a basket. Also I've been called for goal tending, I think in grade 9 or 10, when I could barely touch the rim on a good jump. Funny stuff.
And sorry if I angered you Nebraska fans. I don't follow college football, and I'm sure they are a highly skilled and respectable club. But just a really shitty name imo. The ability to husk corn doesn't seem very intimidating to me.

I can tell you that's not true. If it were true there would be a lot more penalties for late hits. Especially when there's a dog pile(usually after fumbles), seeing as the player is down, on the ground with the ball(that means the play is over, and 97% of the time the whistle is already blown at that moment), then plenty of other players have no problem jumping on him in attempt to snatch the ball. That would be About 3-7 late hits per dog pile. Why aren't those called?
^_^Just explaining why your comment is blatantly false.
